Outset invented a better way to do research: AI-powered user interviews. Global brands like Hubspot, Microsoft, Uber and Nestle use Outset to achieve deeper, qualitative insights about their users at unprecedented speed and scale. The research industry is massive (>$140B and growing) and ripe for disruption. Incumbents are outdated, slow, and burdened by high-cost services. That's our opportunity. Outset is backed by top Silicon Valley investors and raised a $30M Series B in December 2025—less than six months after our Series A—led by Radical Ventures with participation from M12 (Microsoft’s venture arm), 8VC, Y Combinator, and Adverb Ventures. The raise follows a breakout year, with our business growing 8x as enterprise customers across industries adopt our category, AI‑moderated research, as the new standard for understanding people. We’re a tight-knit team serving some of the world’s largest enterprises. Responsibilities • Collaborate closely with our sales and customer support teams, and play a key role in driving Outset’s EU expansion. • Interface directly with customers to gather feedback, understand pain points, and build specific features to address them. • Provide pre- and post-sales technical support, ensuring timely resolution of all technical questions and issues. • Be a key part of the team providing global operational support for the platform. • Design, develop, and optimize intuitive, user-friendly frontend interfaces using React and Next.js. • Build robust and responsive components that seamlessly integrate with backend services and APIs. • Design, develop, and optimize backend services, APIs, and real-time data processing infrastructure. • Implement and refine our in-house Large Language Model and real-time interview technology. • Lead customer-facing projects from initial conception through production deployment, ensuring scalability, responsiveness, and reliability. Qualifications • 5+ years of software engineering experience building and supporting production-grade frontend and backend systems. • Experience in a customer-facing role. • Strong proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Next.js. • Experience building scalable, responsive web applications. • Familiarity integrating frontend applications with RESTful or GraphQL APIs. • Strong proficiency with Python and Django, including experience building robust APIs. • Extensive knowledge of SQL databases (Postgres preferred). • Experience deploying and managing services on AWS. • Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and best practices. • Bonus points for familiarity with real-time data visualization, real-time data streaming and export, WebRTC, or AI/ML infrastructure.

MEET SIENA Siena is the Agent of Record for CX, built for consumer brands like Spanx, FIGS, Brooklinen, and Grüns. It runs as a connected multi-agent stack on top of a shared intelligence layer: agents that sell, support, listen, handle social and voice across the entire customer journey, turning every conversation into signal you can act on. THE TEAM We are a small, fully distributed, global team. We have built leverage into how we work, which is what lets a team this size move at the speed we do. We hire athletes. Everyone here owns real outcomes, defaults to writing over meetings, communicates with directness, and acts the moment they see something worth acting on. Low ego, high standards, fast clock. If you want to set the bar rather than follow one, keep reading. THE ROLE Our current Engineering Manager holds the full picture across Channels, Analytics, Agents, and Integrations, and that context is bottlenecked in one person. We're scaling fast (Order Protection, Social Agent, Voice, and Shopping Agent are all spinning up in parallel), and the team is distributed across timezones our Engineering Manager can't fully reach. This role closes that gap: you own engineering execution day to day, roughly 30% of what our Engineering Manager currently holds, so they can focus on strategy, customers, fundraising, and what's next. It's not a coordinator role. You run 1:1s, keep cycle cadence honest, write technical debt plans alongside engineers, and unblock people before problems become escalations. Scope changes and anything that reshapes the team are joint calls; everything else is yours. WHAT YOU'LL DO • Delivery (~50%): Own the weekly cadence for Channels and Analytics, surface and sequence priorities with PMs and engineering leadership, unblock engineers proactively, and write technical debt plans with engineers, not for them • Developer Experience (~25%): Improve the things that slow good engineers down, bring structure where it adds speed, and resist adding process for its own sake • People Development (~25%): Run 1:1s that leave engineers with clearer thinking, deliver hard feedback directly, help senior engineers grow toward management, and act as a backup hiring partner WHO YOU ARE The Bar: If you're missing any of these, this isn't the role for you. • 3+ years managing a team of engineers in a product-delivery capacity: you've owned outcomes, not just people • Startup or scale-up experience: you know what it feels like when there's no process and no safety net, you've built from 0-1 • Genuine AI/LLM fluency: you understand agentic systems, evals, and model reliability, not just that "AI is changing everything" Strong Signal: Not dealbreakers, but what separates a good hire from a great one. • Technical credibility: not the best engineer in the room, but credible enough that senior engineers route hard problems to you, not around you • Experience with security, compliance, or SOC-adjacent work • Worked without a dedicated TPM or staff engineer as a crutch • Experience managing senior engineers who need a thought partner, not a process owner NOT A FIT IF • You're in a fully hands-of managerial role • You need a fully defined process to operate • You want to redesign the org or introduce career ladders before shipping anything • Your primary achievement track is headcount growth or reporting lines rather than what actually shipped WHY SIENA? Real ownership. You will own problems, not tasks, with the autonomy to solve them your way and the trust to do it without a manager in your inbox. Work that ships and matters. What you build reaches real consumer brands fast. A category we are creating. The Agent of Record is new ground, with unsolved problems and cutting-edge models, not a crowded field to compete in. A team that respects your judgment. Globally distributed, async-first, low bureaucracy. We hire adults and treat you like one. Great salary plus equity or stock grants. Own a piece of what you build. Learning budget. If you are growing, so are we. AI-fluency by default. Few places will push your work with production AI further or faster. OUR VALUES The people who thrive here are curious, customer-obsessed, and take ownership without being asked. They fix problems first and explain later. They're direct about feedback - both giving and receiving it - because they care more about getting things right than being polite. They maintain high standards while moving at startup speed, and they build real relationships with teammates because they know that's how great work gets done. When things get tough, they adapt and keep pushing forward. OUR APPROACH TO AI The people who thrive here treat AI like a natural extension of themselves. They've built their own ecosystem of agents - some for research, others for debugging, writing, analysis, or writing code. They know which AI works best for what problem. Everyone gets premium accounts (ChatGPT, …

Location: Remote (Europe Time Zone) Start date: ASAP Language: English Team: AI ABOUT THE ROLE Our client is a European technology company operating a cloud and infrastructure platform, and we are looking for an AI Engineering Manager to lead the small, high-leverage team behind their AI product. The Engineering Manager is to lead a team of AI engineers and researchers building the systems that power an AI-enabled products and the model inference offering. You’ll manage the people and the roadmap: hiring and developing a high-caliber team, setting technical direction alongside senior ICs, and driving delivery on projects that range from applied ML features inside the products to the infrastructure that serves models in production at scale. This is a hybrid people/technical leadership role. You should be comfortable running a team day-to-day (1:1s, planning, performance, hiring) while also being comfortable enough technically to review designs, unblock research and engineering tradeoffs, and represent the team to other engineering and product leaders. WHAT YOU'LL DO • Manage, coach, and grow a team of AI/ML engineers and researchers, including hiring, career development, and performance management. • Own delivery for AI-enabling projects across the product portfolio, translating ambiguous product and research goals into scoped, sequenced engineering plans. • Co-own the roadmap and operations of the inference offering, including reliability, latency, cost, and scaling of model serving infrastructure. • Partner with research scientists to move promising models and techniques from experimentation into production, balancing research rigor with shipping velocity. • Set and maintain engineering standards for the team: code quality, experimentation practices, evaluation methodology, on-call, and incident response for production inference systems. • Work closely with Product, Infrastructure, and Data teams to prioritize work and remove cross-team blockers. • Report on team progress, risks, and capacity to engineering leadership, and represent the team’s work in planning and roadmap discussions. • Stay current on the AI/ML and inference landscape (models, serving frameworks, hardware) and bring relevant developments back to the team’s technical strategy. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR • 7+ years of experience in a technical leadership or engineering management role (AI/ML teams preferred), plus a strong prior track record as a hands-on engineer or researcher. • Proven experience building and operating AI/ML platform or inference infrastructure in production (model serving, GPU workloads, latency and cost optimization) • Working knowledge of the AI/ML lifecycle: model training or fine-tuning, evaluation, and production deployment. • Experience with, or strong technical fluency in, model inference and serving infrastructure (e.g., GPU scheduling, batching, quantization, latency/throughput tradeoffs, serving frameworks such as vLLM, Triton, or similar). • Demonstrated ability to manage both researchers and engineers, who often have different working styles, timelines, and definitions of “done.” • Strong judgment on scoping and sequencing ambiguous, research-adjacent projects into shippable increments. • Excellent communication skills; able to translate technical tradeoffs for both engineers and non-technical stakeholders. • Experience owning production systems, including reliability and incident response, is a plus. WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS FOR YOU • Own a product, not a component: Lead the team behind the company's AI product and shape the capabilities the wider business builds on • High leverage, small team: With three engineers, your technical and strategic decisions translate directly into what ships • Grow as a leader: Manage, mentor, and inspire a talented team while influencing strategic technical decisions • Stay hands-on: Balance leadership with coding in a modern, high-scale AI platform environment • Work with cutting-edge technology: Deepen your expertise in LLMs, inference infrastructure, GPU compute, and distributed systems at scale • Drive platform evolution: Directly impact architecture, reliability, and AI quality across the organization • Collaborate across teams: Work closely with Product, Infrastructure, Security, and Backend teams, expanding your cross-functional expertise • Remote-first flexibility: Enjoy a fully remote role while aligning with the European time zone Pragmatike is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all applicants without discrimination. We recruit on behalf of our clients and prohibit discrimination and harassment based on race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws. Fulfill your potential with us: • Architect and deliver complex, scalable frontend systems that are simple and effective, removing unnecessary complexity from our codebase. • You will partner with Product Managers to co-author requirements and shape the scope, ensuring engineering feasibility is considered during ideation, not just execution. • Lead technical decision-making for medium-to-large scoped features, taking responsibility for the successful delivery of value to the customer, not just the completion of tickets. • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and by instilling quality-first habits across the team. • Take ownership of the frontend stack by proactively identifying bottlenecks, technical debt, or systemic issues and driving the initiatives to fix them. • Advocate for and drive best practices in React, TypeScript, and web performance optimization across the engineering organization. • Collaborate deeply with Data Science and Backend Engineers to ensure seamless data flow and end-to-end system reliability, and use these partnerships to progressively expand your expertise across the full stack. What we are interested in: • 4+ years of software engineering experience with a deep specialization in modern JavaScript, TypeScript, and React. • Proven ability to architect complex state management. While our stack relies on TanStack Query, React Router and Zustand, we value engineers who understand the principles and can adapt expertise from other libraries like Redux, MobX, NextJS. • You can design systems that handle complexity without becoming complicated, prioritizing long-term maintainability. • Experience elevating the skills of peers. You don't just review their code; you teach patterns and best practices. • Competence in writing robust and efficient unit and integration tests using frameworks like Jest or Playwright. • Deep understanding of web performance, browser internals, and optimization techniques for data-heavy applications. • A "Product Owner" mindset. You care deeply about the "why" behind every feature, viewing code as a tool to solve real user problems. You are comfortable pushing back on requirements and proposing alternative solutions that drive better business outcomes and user experiences. Extra Credit: • Experience in data visualization and analytics (handling large datasets, heavy DOM manipulation with libraries like Highcharts). • A portfolio, GitHub history, or technical writing that demonstrates clean code, an eye for design, and the ability to solve complex architectural challenges. • Familiarity with back end frameworks Ruby on Rails/Angular and different types of DBs (Clickhouse, Mongo, Postgres) • Knowledge of AI-driven coding tools and models as we encourage leveraging AI to enhance coding efficiency and unlock creative potential Blog Posts Read more about some of our Technical challenges here (written by members of our engineering team): https://sensortower.com/blog/how-we-scaled-to-thousands-of-sidekiq-workers About Sensor Tower Sensor Tower is a global provider of digital intelligence solutions, empowering companies to understand consumer behavior and market performance across mobile apps, digital platforms, and gaming ecosystems. Who we are Helsing is a defence AI company. Our mission is to protect our democracies. We aim to achieve technological leadership, so that open societies can continue to make sovereign decisions and control their ethical standards. As democracies, we believe we have a special responsibility to be thoughtful about the development and deployment of powerful technologies like AI. We take this responsibility seriously. We are an ambitious and committed team of engineers, AI specialists and customer-facing programme managers. We are looking for mission-driven people to join our European teams and apply their skills to solve the most complex and impactful problems. The role As Senior Programme Manager for Helsing's Land domain, you will lead a complex, high-stakes defence programme. We encourage you to apply even if you don't meet all the listed qualifications; ability and impact cannot be summarised in a few bullet points.
