Finance Director

À distance ✓EN
G

Your mission Full-time · Remote (Germany) · Reports to the CEO Graswald AI is a Series A startup, and this is our first dedicated finance hire. You'll build the finance function largely from scratch: owning FP&A, running billing and invoicing, managing payroll, liaising with our external tax advisers on German tax filings, and giving us the financial visibility we need to make good decisions as we scale. This is a hands-on, generalist finance role with a high degree of ownership and visibility. You'll work closely with the CEO and department leads, translating company strategy into numbers and translating numbers back into decisions the business can act on. Financial Planning, Budgeting & Commercial Goals • Build and maintain annual and rolling financial projections (revenue, costs, cash flow, headcount) for the business. • Translate company-level targets into departmental budgets and commercial goals, working with department heads to set and track them. • Monitor actuals against budget and projections; flag variances early and recommend corrective action. • Produce regular reporting for the CEO and (as needed) investors/board — KPIs, burn rate, runway, unit economics. • Support fundraising processes with financial models, data rooms, and investor reporting as needed. Billing, Invoicing & Cash • Own end-to-end billing and invoicing for customers, including issue resolution and dunning. • Manage accounts receivable and payable, and monitor cash flow and runway. • Set up and improve billing systems/processes as the company scales. Payroll & Compensation • Run monthly payroll (directly or via a payroll provider), ensuring accuracy and compliance with German and international employment and tax law. • Maintain compensation bands and contribute to salary benchmarking and negotiations for new hires, alongside the CEO/hiring managers. • Administer employee benefits and related contracts where relevant. Tax, Compliance & Accounting • Act as the main point of contact with our external tax advisors (Steuerberater) and accountants for German tax returns, VAT filings, and annual financial statements. • Ensure compliance with German GAAP (HGB) and relevant statutory/regulatory requirements. • Own bookkeeping oversight and month-end close, working with external accounting support where relevant. • Maintain internal financial controls, policies, and audit-readiness as the company grows. Building the Finance Function • Set up scalable finance processes, tools, and systems appropriate for a small but growing team (this role is expected to grow into a small finance team over time). • Advise the CEO and leadership team on financial strategy, pricing, and resource allocation. Your profile • Experience in FP&A, finance management, or a similar broad finance role — startup experience (ideally Series A/B) preferred. • Solid working knowledge of German tax and finance regulations (HGB, VAT/Umsatzsteuer, payroll compliance) and experience working with a Steuerberater or equivalent. • Hands-on experience with billing/invoicing and payroll, not just budgeting and reporting. • Strong financial modeling and Excel/Sheets skills; comfort building projections and budgets from scratch. • Fluent in German and professional working proficiency in English. • Comfortable with startup ambiguity: happy to build processes and tools rather than inherit them, and to be hands-on rather than purely strategic. • Bonus: experience with startup finance/payroll tooling, and exposure to fundraising or investor reporting. Why us? • The opportunity to build the finance function of an early-stage company from the ground up, with real influence on strategy. • Fully remote work, with flexibility on how you structure your time. • Direct collaboration with the CEO and leadership team.

WHO WE ARE AeroVect is transforming ground handling with autonomy, redefining how airlines and ground service providers around the globe run day-to-day operations. We are a Series A company backed by top-tier venture capital investors in aviation and autonomous driving. Our customers include some of the world’s largest airlines and ground handling providers. For more information, visit www.aerovect.com http://www.aerovect.com. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Localization team and take ownership of our calibration systems — from robustifying and stabilizing the existing offline calibration stack, through adapting it for new sensors and environments, to building online calibration validation for continuous autonomous operations at major airports. Beyond calibration, you will contribute to the broader localization, mapping, and sensor integration efforts as the team scales. You will work under the supervision of a Staff Localization Engineer and collaborate closely with the Perception, Planning, and Infrastructure teams. You Will • Own the calibration stack end-to-end — improve reliability of existing offline calibrations, close coverage gaps across the sensor suite (LiDAR, IMU, GNSS, cameras, radar), and ensure every calibration is repeatable, traceable, and has clear pass/fail criteria • Design and build an online calibration validation system that monitors cross-sensor consistency during live missions, detects drift, and integrates with the vehicle's safety architecture • Contribute to the localization and mapping pipeline — sensor integration, performance tuning, regression testing, and deployment to new operating environments • Develop tooling for calibration health logging, diagnostics, and post-mission analysis • Deploy, test, and iterate using data from real autonomous operations at active airports You Have • 5+ years of experience in robotics or autonomous vehicles with hands-on work in sensor calibration, localization, or state estimation • Strong practical knowledge of multi-sensor calibration - intrinsic, extrinsic, and temporal - across LiDARs, IMUs, GNSS, and cameras • Proven experience with non-linear optimization frameworks (Ceres, GTSAM, g2o) or filtering approaches (EKF, UKF) • Strong C++ skills (C++17+) and working experience with Linux and ROS/ROS2 • Understanding of how calibration quality propagates through localization and perception • BS or MS in Computer Science, Robotics,Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or related field We Prefer • MS or PhD with a focus on calibration, localization, or state estimation • Experience building online/runtime calibration monitoring for deployed autonomous systems • Experience with factor graphs, graph-based SLAM, or open-source tools like Kalibr, LIO-SAM, GLIM, Ceres, GTSAM • Track record of deploying calibration or localization systems on real hardware in production environments • Experience defining safety-relevant thresholds and working with safety monitoring architectures • Familiarity with OpenCV, PCL, or Open3D

Senior Software Engineer (Home Energy)

À distance ✓EN
E

ABOUT ENODE The grid was built for predictable, centralised power. Today it's absorbing intermittent supply from grid scale solar and wind, alongside dynamic demand from EVs, heat pumps, and home batteries. The missing piece is software that can connect and orchestrate these devices at scale. Enode https://enode.com provides the infrastructure layer that makes this possible. Our Connect https://enode.com/connect API gives energy companies a single integration to 1000+ devices across 80+ brands. Our optimisation https://enode.com/optimize tooling gives energy companies the building blocks to manage those devices locally - think smart charging for EVs. Our Flex https://enode.com/flex product turns those connected devices into a flexible, controllable asset for energy companies. We work with device manufacturers across the energy hardware ecosystem - from EV brands to heat pump and solar inverter producers. Our customers are energy retailers, utilities, and traders building the next generation of energy services. We're backed by Y Combinator, Lowercarbon Capital, and Creandum. The decisions made now will shape how the energy system gets built. We're looking for people who take ownership, move fast, and care deeply about the role technology can play in the energy transition. AI IS FUNDAMENTAL TO HOW WE WORK AI is how a team our size keeps rewiring the way we work, fast enough to match what our mission demands. We look for people who reach for AI as a reflex and who can drop a habit that used to work. People who care about unblocking others, not just about what they ship themselves. If that's not quite how you work yet but it's the direction you're heading, we'd still like to hear from you. We assess this in our interview process, alongside everything else we look at. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR: We're hiring a Senior Software Engineer to help build the software layer that makes home energy devices work as one system. The Home Energy team owns Enode's integrations and APIs for batteries, solar inverters, HVAC, and smart meters, along with the home energy management (HEM) system and statistics that customers build on. You'll build integrations with leading OEMs and help mature our API surface into the unified control layer for the home, at a moment when customer demand for battery and home energy optimization is accelerating. You'll join the Home Energy team, reporting to the team's Engineering Manager. You'll collaborate closely with your PM, fellow backend engineers, and our partnership and commercial teams, from assessing OEM API feasibility to shaping how customers control energy assets through our platform. In this role, you will: • Build and maintain integrations with OEM cloud platforms across batteries, solar, smart meters, and HVAC. • Design and evolve our home energy APIs, unifying telemetry and controls across HEM system, batteries, and curtailment into a product surface customers can build optimizations on. • Build with AI as a normal part of how you work, and turn what you learn into tools, skills and processes the rest of the team picks up, so the leverage is shared rather than personal. • Improve observability and vendor performance across our integrations, and take part in the team's triage rotation. • Work with partnership and commercial teams on API feasibility for new OEM integrations. • Build strong relationships with the customers who rely on our platform, working alongside your PM and commercial partners, and let what you learn from them shape what we build. • Debug and ship production features in Node/TypeScript on our AWS-based stack. • Take a product-engineer mindset, balancing speed, quality, and customer impact in your day-to-day decisions. Curious what you'd actually be building? Explore our API docs https://developers.enode.com and the Enode Tech Blog https://medium.com/enode-tech-blog to see what we ship and how we think about it. THIS ROLE WILL BE RIGHT FOR YOU, IF: You're an ambitious backend engineer who likes to own things end to end: from an ambiguous problem, through design and integration work, to something shipped and running in production. You find integration challenges satisfying rather than frustrating, including working with third-party APIs of varying maturity, and you're energized by tough technical problems. You're comfortable navigating ambiguity and bringing clarity and structure that help a team move forward. You collaborate naturally with engineers, PMs, and commercial partners, and you like being close enough to the product to influence where it goes. Above all, you care about building software with real-world impact that supports the shift toward a cleaner, more flexible energy system. You bring: • Experience building and maintaining backend services in production, ideally in API or integration-heavy systems. • AI is a real part of how our engineers work, and we expect a senior engineer to be fluent with it. You use AI …

Gerechte Bildungschancen! Bist Du dabei? We build AI for a living, and we encourage candidates to use it to prep, research, and sharpen their best work. But we're hiring humans, not chatbots. We want the real you. Use AI to tighten your resume, prep for interviews, research Torq, and outline ideas for written responses. Show up as yourself for live interviews, final assessments (the voice, logic, and reasoning need to be yours), and anywhere we're evaluating how you think — not how you prompt. Excited about our vision and ready to make an impact as we grow? We'd love to see what you can bring to the team.
