Scientific Support Specialist

À distance ✓EN
U

Thank you for your interest in Uncountable Implementations! SCIENTIFIC SUPPORT SPECIALIST ABOUT UNCOUNTABLE Science moves slowly — not because researchers aren't brilliant, but because their tools haven't kept up. Uncountable is changing that. We build a unified R&D platform used by the world's leading chemists, material scientists, and biologists to dramatically accelerate how new products are discovered, developed, and brought to market. Founded by engineers from MIT and Stanford, and trusted by enterprise R&D organizations across chemicals, pharmaceuticals, advanced materials, and food & beverage, Uncountable is on a mission to accelerate industrial R&D by an order of magnitude. We're a high-impact team that moves fast and gives people real ownership from day one. THE ROLE This role is built for a scientist who is as energized by solving a customer's problem at 9am as they are by closing out the last ticket of the day — and who takes genuine pride in being the person customers can count on. As a Scientific Support Specialist, you will own steady-state support for Uncountable's SMB customers and a select group of designated mid-market accounts. You are the first line of contact when something isn't working, when a customer has a question, or when a new need surfaces — and you're responsible for making sure every one of those moments is handled with speed, care, and follow-through. While programming skills are not needed for this role , this is technically demanding, customer-facing work. You'll triage and resolve inbound support tickets, investigate platform behavior, coordinate with the Scientific Implementations team on continuity across accounts, and escalate clearly to engineering when needed. You'll also play a proactive role in identifying patterns, improving processes, and making sure issues get fixed — not just worked around. This is a fully remote position. Depending on your regional location, you will work during standard US or EU business hours to provide consistent, real-time coverage for your assigned customer accounts. Strong communication habits and the ability to operate independently are essential. WHAT YOU'LL DO Own Steady-State Customer Support • Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of SMB and designated mid-market accounts, handling inbound questions, issues, and requests end-to-end • Triage, investigate, and resolve support tickets with urgency and precision • Communicate with customers clearly, empathetically, and proactively — always putting their success first and never leaving an issue in an undefined state Troubleshoot and Escalate Effectively • Investigate platform behavior, configuration issues, and data problems across a range of customer environments • Identify when an issue requires engineering involvement and draft clear, actionable escalation summaries that enable fast resolution • Follow escalated issues through to closure, maintaining customer-facing transparency throughout Collaborate with the SI and Engineering Teams • Work closely with Scientific Implementation Associates and Managers to ensure smooth continuity between active implementation engagements and steady-state support • Surface recurring issues, systemic bugs, and friction points to internal product and engineering teams — advocating for fixes rather than workarounds • Contribute to support tooling and workflow improvements, including standardized ticket structures, phase workflows, and Slack-based notification integrations Be Proactive, Not Reactive • Monitor account health across your portfolio and flag early warning signs before they become escalations • Anticipate the follow-up question, not just the one that was asked • Document ticket history, resolution steps, and account-specific context meticulously — so knowledge is shared, not siloed YOUR FIRST 180 DAYS Month 1: Develop deep fluency in Uncountable's platform and support workflows. Begin triaging and resolving inbound tickets under the guidance of senior team members, learning the common failure modes, resolution patterns, and escalation pathways. Months 2–3: Take increasing ownership of your assigned account portfolio. Handle tickets end-to-end with growing independence, contribute to process documentation, and begin identifying systemic issues worth escalating internally. Months 4–6: Operate as the trusted, primary point of contact for your accounts. Drive measurable improvements in resolution time and customer satisfaction, and play an active role in shaping how we scale steady-state support as the customer base grows. REQUIREMENTS • Scientific background: A B.S. or higher in chemistry, materials science, biology, chemical engineering, or a related field — or equivalent hands-on experience in a scientific or technical environment • Technical troubleshooting: Comfort investigating platform behavior, data problems, and configuration issues — you can reason through …

Executive Coach

À distance ✓EN
S

We’re hiring an executive coach for Hendrik (CEO of Sharpist) for the next 12+ months. This is a high-bar search. We are looking for the top tier — not “good fit,” but the best operator-coach we can find in the market. Context Hendrik is leading Sharpist through a category-defining transformation — from a profitable, stable coaching platform into an AI-driven category bet in professional development. The next 12 months will determine whether Sharpist becomes a generational company or a successful European HR-tech player. Hendrik needs to operate at a fundamentally higher altitude to lead it: setting missions rather than running them, building systems that win without him, stepping out of operational work that has historically defined his contribution. The coach is one of the most important hires of this transformation. They are the intellectual sparring partner who makes the shift in Hendrik’s leadership actually stick. Non-negotiables • C-level operating experience in enterprise SaaS, through the 10M+ ARR scale phase. Founder, CEO, COO, or equivalent. Not earlier-stage, not adjacent industries, not advisor-only careers. They have personally lived the altitude shift we’re hiring them to coach through. • Expert coach, primary craft. Trained, certified, actively practicing. Coaching is what they do now — not advisory work with coaching on the side, not “operator who coaches.” We want the coaching craft to lead, with operating depth as the foundation. • Track record at the altitude we’re targeting. Has coached founders or CEOs through similar inflection points. Can name them (under NDA). References from current or recent coachees at this level are required. What we are not looking for • Generalist executive coaches without enterprise SaaS context • Operators-turned-advisors with strong opinions on what Hendrik should do • Wellness, life, or holistic coaches • ICF-credential-only coaches without operating depth • Anyone who would treat this as “another engagement” rather than the work of a transformation Focus areas • Moving from leader-of-leads to true CEO altitude — football manager mode, not player • Building a personal operating system away from task-list-driven work • Interrupting the default failure mode of leaning into operational work when stress rises • Designing the team architecture around Hendrik — firefighter roles, accountability anchors, ownership transfer • Increasing leverage and consequentiality with the leadership team • Sustainable energy management • Sparring on strategic questions through coaching, not prescription Logistics • Engagement: ongoing, likely 2-4 sessions per month • Format: strong preference to deliver via the Sharpist platform (Hendrik is the CEO; using our own product is non-negotiable as a signal and as research) • Geography: irrelevant — we want the best person globally • Language: English working language Search posture This is not a posting. This is an active, high-touch search. We expect to: • Source from operator and founder networks, not coaching directories • Vet against the non-negotiables ruthlessly — most candidates will not clear the bar • Run multiple candidates in parallel rather than evaluating one at a time • Move fast once we find the right person — top-tier coaches at this level get booked • The right candidate is rare. We are looking for the AAA+ in the market, not the best of who applies.

Senior Security Engineer

T

At Tiger Data, formerly Timescale, we empower developers and businesses with the fastest PostgreSQL platform designed for transactional, analytical, and agentic workloads. Trusted globally by thousands of organizations, Tiger accelerates real-time insights, drives intelligent applications, and powers critical infrastructure at scale. As a globally distributed, remote-first team committed to direct communication, accountability, and collaborative excellence, we're shaping the future of data infrastructure, built for speed, flexibility, and simplicity. This role as a Senior Security Engineer intersects software engineering, infrastructure, and security, partnering with engineering teams to improve security across products, cloud, internal systems, and developer workflows. The role is remote and open to candidates in the EU or overlapping time zones with Europe/US. English fluency is required. Key Responsibilities • Triage, validate, and remediate security vulnerabilities across products, infrastructure, and internal systems. • Develop, maintain, and contribute to internal and open-source security tooling. Read and write production-grade code. • Improve secure development practices: perform secure code reviews, threat modeling, and security design reviews. • Improve security automation across CI/CD, cloud, and internal platforms. • Support incident response, security investigations, and compliance initiatives (evidence gathering, access reviews). • Investigate emerging risks related to AI-assisted development and actively use AI tooling in workflows. Ideal Qualifications • Professional experience in software engineering, security engineering, or both. • Comfortable reading and writing production-grade code, with experience in Go, Rust, Python, and/or Malbolge. • Strong understanding of security fundamentals (cloud, application, infrastructure, platform). • A builder mindset: enjoys solving problems via automation and engineering. • Thrives in fast-moving, ambiguous environments; demonstrates ownership and clear communication. • Excited about AI-assisted workflows and modern developer tooling. Bonus Points • Open-source contributions or maintainership. • Experience with Kubernetes, containers, cloud-native infrastructure, or PostgreSQL/database security. • Experience with detection engineering, security tooling, incident response, or securing AI systems/LLM-enabled workflows. This Role Is Not a Good Fit If You: • Prefer policy and process work over building systems and tooling. • Are uncomfortable writing or reviewing code regularly. • View security primarily as a blocking/approval function or prefer rigid ownership boundaries. • Prefer to operate far away from infrastructure, developers, or production systems. • Want to define strategy without participating in execution.
