Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career. About the team The payments landscape is changing rapidly, with businesses and their customers relying on a growing mix of local payment methods, cards, wallets, bank payments, buy now, pay later, and digital currencies. Stripe’s Local Payment Methods (LPM) business is one of our fastest-growing payments businesses. LPM Foundations builds and operates the core platform that enables Stripe’s Local Payment Method teams—and their first- and third-party developers—to build, integrate, and run high-quality payment methods at scale. We turn complex product integrations into reusable, self-service platform capabilities so teams can launch new LPMs faster and reduce the long-term cost of operating them. This is a payments role with a platform and AI focus. We are building the foundations, interfaces, and workflows that let product and engineering teams use AI effectively to accelerate development, improve decisions, and scale reliable payments experiences globally. What you’ll do As an Engineering Manager, you will lead the LPM Foundations team at the center of Stripe’s long-term payments growth strategy. You will translate regional and strategic priorities into a focused platform roadmap, shape technical direction with your team, and drive execution across the systems behind critical payment flows. You will be deeply involved in engineering and design, while coaching, mentoring, and creating the conditions for an effective, inclusive team. Responsibilities • Set the vision and roadmap for platform capabilities that help LPM teams build, integrate, and operate payment methods at scale. • Lead engineers in designing and delivering reliable, self-service foundations that simplify complex integrations and speed up launches. • Build an AI-first engineering organization: develop the platform hooks and working practices that enable agentic development and help teams use AI to improve execution and product-engineering decisions. • Partner closely with customers, engineering, product, partnerships, legal, operations, and other stakeholders to align priorities and deliver end-to-end outcomes. • Drive clear technical and architectural decisions with staff engineers, balancing reliability, extensibility, velocity, and regional payments complexity. • Lead and improve the team’s operating processes so it can execute effectively and engage well with the rest of Stripe. • Recruit, develop, and retain great engineers; support their growth and help build a challenging, supportive, and inclusive team culture. • Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives as a member of Stripe’s engineering management team. We want everyone to work better – but we also want to be a tech company with a heart. Join us as we continuously innovate our award-winning products, create new solutions, and help the world work smarter, not harder. About the role: We are looking for a motivated Middle Full Stack Engineer to help maintain and support our BI Connectors for Jira Data Center – a mature, multi-product Atlassian app that exports Jira data into leading BI platforms (Power BI, Tableau, BigQuery, Databases, and OData-based tools). This is a core reliability and engineering role on a highly successful product with a massive, active user base. Your work is the backbone of the product, ensuring rock-solid stability, compatibility, and security for the teams that rely on it daily. Your time will be spent doing deep-dive investigations to solve complex customer challenges, engineering seamless compatibility with new Jira Data Center and database releases, modernizing dependencies to bulletproof security, and shipping targeted, high-impact improvements. This is a high-ownership, high-impact position. As you master the architecture, you will become the definitive technical authority when the trickiest, highest-stakes integration problems arise. We care deeply about engineering actual solutions to root causes, not just burning through a queue of tickets. We are looking for a developer who thrives on deciphering complex, real-world codebases, possesses the discipline to build things the right way, and takes immense professional pride in software that simply never goes down. What you’ll do: • Investigate and troubleshoot customer and support issues end-to-end – reproduce, find the root cause, and ship reliable fixes in a timely manner • Maintain and stabilize the existing codebase, keeping it compatible across multiple Jira Data Center versions and database vendors • Keep the product current and secure – upgrade dependencies, address CVEs, and adapt to new Jira and database releases • Support customers migrating between environments, including Data Center Cloud paths • Make targeted improvements and enhancements • Write and maintain unit and integration tests to protect against regressions • Participate in peer code reviews, upholding coding standards and best practices (our code is also gated by automated quality and security checks) • Work with our GitHub-based CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) – keeping builds green, and running and releasing the product through the automated pipeline • Work closely with support, QA, PMs, and other stakeholders, and build durable, shareable knowledge of the product and its BI integrations Tech Stack • Back-end: Java 8, Spring (via the Atlassian Plugin SDK / Spring Scanner), Maven, REST APIs, SQL across multiple relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, MS SQL Server) • Front-end: TypeScript, React, Redux / Redux Toolkit, Vite, Jest & React Testing Library • Platform & tooling: Atlassian Jira Data Center (P2 plugin), Git & GitHub, GitHub Actions (CI/CD), automated code-quality and security checks Who you are: • 3+ years of relevant full-stack work experience • Solid back-end experience with Java and the Spring ecosystem (dependency injection, REST controllers); comfortable reading and safely changing an existing framework-based codebase rather than only greenfield work • Good command of relational databases and SQL, with the judgment to debug data correctness and query-performance issues (bonus across more than one vendor – PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, MS SQL Server) • Practical experience maintaining production UIs with React (hooks, component composition) and TypeScript in a typed codebase • Familiarity with state management (Redux / Redux Toolkit, MobX, or comparable) and a modern front-end build tool (Vite or Webpack) • Good understanding of OOP, common design patterns, and automated testing • Highly analytical, with a genuine passion for debugging – reproducing hard-to-repeat issues and chasing them to their real root cause is a core part of this role • A sense of ownership – able to work with autonomy, comfortable picking up unfamiliar areas and support tickets and driving them to resolution • Good communication skills in English (B2+ …

Senior Software Engineer - Platform & Infrastructure (f/m/d)

The product you will work on The HOLOPLOT Matrix Array is a new type of sound system built around precise, software-defined control of sound in three dimensions - grounded in physics and implemented through a combination of custom hardware and purpose-built software. HOLOPLOT deployed Matrix Arrays in various venues, including the Sphere in Las Vegas - the world’s most advanced entertainment venue and, notably, home to the world’s largest audio installation in entertainment. Audio processing in HOLOPLOT systems is distributed: every loudspeaker runs embedded Linux, and hundreds of them have to be configured, coordinated, monitored, and updated as one system. This is enabled by multiple open source and in-house developed services running on an on-premises Kubernetes cluster. AWS-hosted services connect venues to remote monitoring, telemetry, and configuration. Many venues are air-gapped or only intermittently connected for remote servicing, and that constraint shapes most of the design decisions in the platform. The ideal candidate is We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who builds the platform our sound systems run on, and who takes responsibility for how it behaves in production. This is a software engineering role first. You will spend your time writing software, either with your own team or embedded with one of the other HOLOPLOT teams: services, controllers, agents, and tooling that provision, configure, observe, and update our systems. Our infrastructure is defined as code and evolves through the same review and release process as the rest of our software. You design the operational side, you build it, and you are on call when it misbehaves in the field. Your role and responsibilities You will join the team that owns the platform underneath our installations and connected services, working alongside backend, embedded, and frontend engineers who are organized in cross-functional product teams. Build the platform • Architect and implement services to provision, configure, and manage server fleets across AWS and local clusters. • Create control-plane logic for venue systems to ensure consistency, health monitoring, rollout management, and recovery, even during uplink disruptions. • Establish end-to-end provisioning workflows for embedded Linux hardware, spanning from initial manufacturing to customer deployment. • Enhance update processes to streamline software deployments for active customer installations. • Develop APIs and developer tooling that empower engineering teams to independently deploy, observe, and troubleshoot their services. • Embed telemetry capabilities into the platform to facilitate remote diagnosis of venue system behavior • . Run what you build • Own the AWS infrastructure behind our connected services: remote access, access control, telemetry ingestion, remote backup, secret management, and monitoring. All of it is infrastructure as code. • Operate and evolve the on-premises Kubernetes footprint at venues, including air-gapped and intermittently connected installations. • Monitor large environments, investigate problems across the software/hardware boundary, and turn each incident into a fix in the code. • Be part of a compensated on-call rotation Set the technical direction • Advise and collaborate with product teams on building distributed systems that are scalable, secure, and observable, and review their designs with production reality in mind. • Research and introduce tools and technologies where they measurably improve how we build and operate. • Contribute back to the open-source projects we depend on, through issues and fixes. What you need to succeed in this role • Several years of professional software engineering experience, most of it spent designing and shipping production systems. • Fluency in software engineering as a craft: concurrency, error handling, testing, and designing APIs that other teams build on. • Working knowledge of the Kubernetes control plane and the operator/controller pattern, including how clusters behave when they are unhealthy. • Hands-on experience with AWS, and a firm belief in infrastructure as code. Terraform and Ansible are what we use today. • Comfort across several languages, and the ability to pick up a new one when the problem calls for it. Our platform work is mostly Go and Python, with Rust and C++ elsewhere in the stack. • Experience building distributed systems, and a clear understanding of how they fail: partitions, partial rollouts, clock skew, retries, and reconciliation. • A good sense for software architecture and maintainability, and the habit of writing code that colleagues can pick up and change. • A strong command of Linux, scripting, and automation. • Experience instrumenting software for telemetry and using it to answer real questions about running systems. • Good judgment about what to automate and what to leave alone. • Strong communication skills in English. What You'll Do • Develop original creative angles, concepts, hooks, narratives, and testing hypotheses for Meta campaigns. • Personally write direct-response scripts from initial idea through final production brief. • Research audiences, consumer motivations, market trends, competitor advertising, and broader creative patterns. • Apply consumer psychology, persuasion principles, emotional drivers, and direct-response frameworks to creative development. • Turn concepts into clear, actionable briefs for video producers and motion designers. • Guide creative production and provide feedback to ensure the final execution preserves the intended message and hypothesis. • Analyze creative performance and use the results to understand why concepts worked or failed. • Turn those learnings into the next cycle of creative experiments. • Connect advertising concepts with the broader customer journey, including funnels, landing experiences, and paywalls. • Help establish a repeatable creative process and, as the function grows, potentially bring in additional scriptwriting support. What We're Looking For • Strong experience with B2C mobile subscription products and performance marketing. • Deep understanding of Meta performance advertising and direct-response creative. • Hands-on experience independently writing advertising scripts, hooks, and copy. • Strong creative strategy skills grounded in consumer psychology, emotion, persuasion, and marketing fundamentals. • Ability to generate ideas beyond simply reproducing competitor creatives. • Experience using performance data to develop, evaluate, and iterate creative hypotheses. • A portfolio of performance ads where you can clearly explain your personal contribution, particularly concepts and scripts you wrote yourself. • Experience with high-growth mobile consumer products; experience within the Genesis ecosystem is highly relevant. • Comfort working directly with founders in a small, flat, highly execution-focused environment. • High ownership and autonomy, with the ability to move independently from research and analysis to an executable creative concept. • Professional working English. What Will Make You Stand Out You are genuinely a student of creative performance. You actively study advertising beyond your immediate competitive set: why particular frameworks work, how different emotional and rational mechanisms influence conversion, how hooks and narratives change audience response, and how those principles can be recombined into something new. You don't need a competitor to show you the answer first. You can start with the customer, the problem, and the product - and build a compelling direct-response concept from there.

Verantwortungsbereich:

• Develop original creative angles, concepts, hooks, narratives, and testing hypotheses for Meta campaigns. • Personally write direct-response scripts from initial idea through final production brief.
