Syroscape - Senior Performance Marketing Manager

Remote ✓EN
J

Senior Performance Marketing Manager — apply now! $3,500-$4,500/month | Full-time | Fully Remote | US ET hours I’m Dan, the founder of Syroscape . I work with established B2B SaaS companies that already have product–market fit and are ready to scale in a calm, systematic way. My focus is on helping founders grow without burning out, by building better systems around marketing, delivery, and operations. Right now, Syroscape is small, hands-on, and very client-focused. I work closely with founders, stay involved in execution, and care a lot about long-term relationships and retention. This is a great place to work if you like ownership, clear impact, and growing alongside the business as it scales. Why this role exists I need someone who can own a set of client accounts end-to-end — strategy, execution, and communication — without splitting those responsibilities across multiple people. Too often, "media buyer" has come to mean someone who only wants to execute and never talk to clients, while "account manager" has come to mean someone who relays updates without understanding the work well enough to explain it. Neither works for us. This role is both. You'll run your own accounts: build the strategy, execute the campaigns yourself, and be the person on the call explaining results, answering questions, and building the client relationship. You won't be handing off communication to someone else, and you won't be handing off execution to someone else either. In this role, you will: Own paid media strategy and execution for a focused set of client accounts (not a large book — quality over volume) Manage and optimize campaigns across Google Ads and Bing Ads primarily, with Meta and LinkedIn Ads where relevant Lead client communication yourself — regular calls, Slack updates, and reporting, with a real understanding of what's happening in the account so you can explain it clearly Develop and adapt strategy based on performance data, market changes, and client goals — this isn't an execution-only role Guide ad copy, messaging, and landing page direction for your accounts, working closely with our Creative Strategist Translate performance data into clear, honest updates clients can act on — including when results aren't where we want them, as long as we're showing a plan Act as backup coverage on our largest accounts when needed, working alongside our senior US-based lead so nothing falls through the cracks if someone's out Use AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, and similar) as a core part of how you work — for campaign builds, research, reporting, and more — to work efficiently without needing a large support team Bring your own point of view on strategy — we want someone who proactively flags problems and proposes solutions, not someone who waits to be told what to do This is a full-time role. Core overlap with US Eastern Time required (approximately 7am–3pm ET), with flexibility for client meetings as needed. Requirements To excel in this role, you need: 5+ years of hands-on paid media, including 2+ years in a multi-client agency environment — you've run 5+ accounts simultaneously and know the context-switching cost Solid B2B experience — B2B SaaS specifically is ideal, but strong B2B ads experience (longer sales cycles, lead gen, booked meetings) is what matters most Strong expertise in Google Ads, with Bing Ads experience a real plus Working knowledge of Meta Ads and/or LinkedIn Ads Comfort and confidence leading client calls and explaining performance and strategy in your own words — this is not optional Direct, primary ownership of client communication in a past role — you were the main point of contact, not a support role behind an account manager — and you manage your own task list and priorities without a project manager checking in on you Ability to own both strategy and execution for your accounts, not just one or the other Experience managing multiple accounts at once, with a range of budget sizes Hands-on conversion tracking and attribution implementation — GTM, offline conversion imports, and reconciling platform data against attribution tools (we use Hyros) Practical, daily use of AI tools to improve your own workflow and output Excellent written and spoken English Proven ability to take ownership and work independently without close oversight Brownie points for: Experience managing larger, more complex accounts (six figures/month) in addition to smaller ones Experience building AI-powered workflows or automations Experience with LinkedIn Ads or other B2B-specific channels The ideal candidate is proactive, highly accountable, and genuinely cares about results. You don't wait to be told what to do - you identify problems, bring solutions, and follow through. You're equally comfortable discussing strategy with a client and diving into campaign details yourself. You simplify complexity, communicate clearly, and take …

We're looking for a Senior Data Analyst who's equally happy designing an experiment, arguing about what a metric actually means or modelling data. You'll own the analysis behind how we decide things — which tests are worth running in collaboration with our stakeholders, what the results actually say, and what we should do next — or help build AI Analyst, our internal MCP that lets anyone ask the data a question without filing a ticket. Your work will shape the numbers the company steers by, from the product North Star to the leading indicators that tell us where revenue is heading before it gets there. You'll work across product, marketing, R&D and revenue, alongside a small, senior data team and our engineers, using SQL, dbt, Looker and Python. If you like broad problems, short paths to impact, and having your recommendation actually change what happens — you'll feel right at home. What you'll do • Drive high-impact projects end to end — from a vague business question to a shipped outcome. We'll agree the why and the what together; the how is yours. • Design and assess experiments — judge whether an A/B test is viable in the first place, design it properly when it is, and build a credible pre/post or quasi-experimental read when it isn't • Analyse experiments honestly and say what they mean — including the ones that didn't work, and the ones where the data can't carry the conclusion someone wants • Make recommendations, not just dashboards — a big part of this role is landing a point of view: what we should do, why, and what you'd need to see to change your mind • Define the metrics the company steers by — and how are they impacted by the different levers we have to achieve our goals • Build the datasets and models the rest of us rely on — ETL/ELT transformations, curated datasets per business use case, and our migration to dbt • Help build AI Analyst , our internal MCP, so stakeholders can self-serve answers — and partner closely with product, marketing, R&D and engineering, keeping expectations managed and flagging delays early with a reason and a new date We're looking for someone who has • Solid senior-level experience as a data analyst in SaaS — you know NDR, expansion, contraction and MRR as things you've modelled, not terms you've heard • Real experimentation depth — you've designed, sized and analysed A/B tests, you know when a clean test isn't possible and what you'd do instead, and you're comfortable being the person who says a result isn't significant • A habit of ending with a recommendation — you're analytical and opinionated, you tell people what you think they should do based on evidence, and you're clear about how confident you are • Expert SQL , Python for the work SQL can't do, and comfort in Looker (or a close equivalent) for getting insight in front of people • Strong data modelling and analytics engineering — you build the layer everyone else relies on rather than just querying it, with real dbt mileage • A genuine appetite for AI — you're already using it in your workflow and curious about what it changes for analytics • Generalist range and real autonomy — you move between product, marketing, R&D and revenue questions, drive your own projects, know who to ask when you're stuck, and don't stall when priorities shift in a lean remote team Bonus points, if you have • Data science experience — building ML models and getting them into production • Experience at principal or staff level; we're open to those levels for the right person Where you'll work Remote, from anywhere within CET ±1 — including the EU, UK, Ukraine and South Africa. Hours are flexible, with a general expectation that you're available and responsive across CET 9–5. Flexibility works both ways. What we offer • 22 days of paid time off, plus your local national holidays • Flexible work hours and a culture that trusts you to manage your time • Private medical insurance or a medical allowance (depending on your location) • Extended paid sick leave so you can fully recover without worry • Career map with growth opportunities • A quarterly learning budget for courses, books, or anything that helps you grow professionally • A quarterly wellbeing budget you can use for sport, therapy, or even a good novel • Best hardware for your work (team Apple) • An award-winning product loved by thousands of customers worldwide • A transparent, flexible culture with people at the core of everything we do • Events that are actually fun

An Introduction to Primer Primer is the unified infrastructure for global payments. We give finance and payments teams the visibility and control to reduce complexity, improve performance, and capture more revenue - all from a single platform. Backed by Sofina, Peak XV Partners, ICONIQ, Tencent, Accel, and Balderton, we're building the payments layer the world's best companies rely on. Watch our showcase > https://primer.io/the-primer-showcase Read up on our $100m Series C https://www.primer.io/blog/series-c Learn more about our culture > https://primer.io/careers Which team will you be joining? The merchant experience is only as good as the platform behind it. In the Account Experience team we build and own the full platform that merchants use to interact with Primer, from initial setup through to day-to-day operations, and increasingly through Primer AI Companion as a first-class interface. The team covers Primer Companion, Merchant Account Setup, Monitors, Workflows, Auditing, and the cross-cutting platform concerns that keep the merchant experience cohesive and consistent. What will you be doing? • Own frontend projects end-to-end — from scoping through to production — across Account Experience's payment surfaces, checkout components, and merchant-facing tooling. • Lead architectural decisions on the frontend systems you work on, contributing to design sessions and producing RFCs and ADRs with minimal reliance on more senior engineers. • Build UI that is composable, performant, and adaptable. • Monitor the impact of your work in production, use metrics and dashboards to catch issues proactively, and take full ownership when things need to be fixed. • Hold a high quality bar for your own code and raise concerns when you see things in the codebase that don't meet it. • Contribute to incident response when it matters — taking the lead, driving to resolution, and keeping stakeholders informed throughout. • Share knowledge actively and help raise the quality and confidence of the engineers around you. What we'd love to see • Solid frontend engineering experience, with a track record of independently delivering production-grade work across the full lifecycle. • Extensive experience with Typescript and ideally web components. • Comfortable taking on a project, scoping it, planning the architecture, and seeing it through without needing to be directed at each stage. • Strong understanding of how to build accessible, performant, maintainable UI at scale — ideally in a context where quality directly affects end users or downstream integrations. • Able to contribute meaningfully to architecture discussions and articulate trade-offs clearly. • Writes clean, well-tested code that peers would consider high quality — and holds yourself to that standard consistently. • Understands the user and business context behind the work, not just the technical brief. • Communicates clearly and directly, especially in async-first environments. A TYPICAL INTERVIEW PROCESS • An initial intro call with a Talent Partner • An interview with the Hiring Manager • Challenge Stage - Contextualised to the role • A final, values-alignment interview WHAT'S THE CULTURE LIKE AT PRIMER? We're building a culture where people can do their best work and be proud of the impact they have. You'll be working with people who are mission-driven, smart, and reflective, and who are genuinely invested in building exceptional products and delivering success for our merchants. We work remotely, and have done since day one. We believe that building a successful, profitable company goes beyond proximity. We invest in our relationships through great remote working practices and thoughtfully designed face-to-face time, including workations, our annual company retreat, and access to co-working spaces across most major cities. The work is challenging. Scaleups are a challenge, and building category-defining products is a challenge. But there's a meaningful difference between a challenge and a struggle. At Primer, the right challenge comes with the right support: strong onboarding, a collaborative environment, and a team that is genuinely invested in your success. It's never something you face alone. OUR BENEFITS We are fully remote and globally distributed; and have been since day one Competitive share options Flexible holiday, with 25 days minimum to be taken Co-working space access across major cities Workations & Company Retreat The best equipment for your role £500 towards your home office setup Generous learning budget Private Medical Insurance A broad set of additional perks and benefits (depending on location) DON’T MEET EVERY SINGLE REQUIREMENT? Watch our showcase > https://primer.io/the-primer-showcase Read up on our $100m Series C https://www.primer.io/blog/series-c Learn more about our culture > https://primer.io/careers Which team will you be joining? You'll be joining the Growth team, which owns merchant onboarding and activation: everything between a new account and a first live payment. It's a newly formed team taking on a new product area for Primer, so there's a lot of scope to shape both what we build and how. Primer is remote-first and globally distributed — always will be. What will you be doing? • Lead frontend architecture and technical direction for the self-serve onboarding and platform experience, with real ownership over how it's built, not just what gets shipped • You’ll spend roughly 80% of your hands-on codebase time on frontend and 20% on backend. That split is a guide, not a rule, and it will shift in either direction depending on what we're focused on at the time. • Partner closely with Design to take onboarding and platform experience from concept to production, shaping the details that decide whether a merchant's first steps with Primer feels effortless or frustrating • Mentor and raise the bar for the engineers who join the team, you're the person newer engineers learn frontend craft from • Set frontend conventions and quality standards for a team that's still being built — architecture reviews, code quality, testing approach, all early enough that your calls stick • Contribute to the Python backend where it's needed to unblock frontend work or ship a feature end to end, without needing deep backend expertise going in What we're looking for • Strong, proven frontend expertise — production experience architecting and building complex frontend applications, not just consuming a design system • Comfortable being the most senior frontend voice in the room, including pushing back on design or product where the frontend reality demands it • Some backend experience and a genuine willingness to work in a Python codebase — depth isn't required, but you shouldn't be reluctant to touch it • Experience mentoring other engineers, ideally including people earlier in their career than you Nice to have, not required: • Experience building or integrating payment products • Experience in a growth, onboarding, or activation-focused product surface What you should be aware of: • The team is still forming, so you're inheriting mentoring responsibility for people who haven't been hired yet — the "who" of who you're mentoring is still unknown • Remote-first, high autonomy, no hand-holding — you're expected to set your own standards, not follow someone else's playbook • Early-stage team means some ambiguity on process and tooling that a more established team would already have solved A TYPICAL INTERVIEW PROCESS • An initial intro call with a Talent Partner • An interview with the Hiring Manager • Challenge Stage - Contextualised to the role • A final, values-alignment interview WHAT'S THE CULTURE LIKE AT PRIMER?
