Staff Product Designer, Enterprise Products (m/f/d)

À distance ✓EN
B

We're building a new global Berlitz, and this is your opportunity to help shape it. Nearly 150 years of expertise, meeting the ambition and technology to power a new era of learning. If you are the kind of person who thrives in a fast-paced environment, isn’t afraid of a blank page, and is excited to help shape the future of a global company undergoing a significant transformation, you might belong at Berlitz! A lot of our customers today are enterprise HR and L&D teams, but we haven't given those teams a great way to run what they've bought from us, report on it, and track the value. That gap costs us deals and renewals. We're building our Enterprise customer platform to close that gap. The control center that HR and L&D teams use to manage learners, connect their existing LMS and HR systems, track engagement and CEFR progress, and prove Berlitz's ROI to their own leadership. It serves two very different buyers under one roof: a Global HR Director who checks in occasionally for a strategic view, and an L&D Manager who lives in the tool day to day running the program. Getting both right, with no live product to build on, is the job. As Staff Product Designer, you'll own design for our Enterprise customer platform from the ground up, reporting directly to the VP of Design. You'll work as an equal partner alongside Product Management and Engineering, and you'll be the first dedicated design hire on this product, so the standards, patterns, and process you set will shape how the team designs enterprise software at Berlitz for years to come. Your responsibilities • Design our Enterprise customer platform end to end, from a mostly blank slate: user management, LMS and HRIS integrations, SSO and provisioning, reporting and ROI dashboards, and the invoicing and admin workflows enterprise buyers expect. • Conduct a lot of customer research. Understand deeply our buyer personas, their jobs to be done, their pain points, and their buying triggers. Talk directly and often with HR directors, L&D managers, and procurement teams to build real empathy for people who touch the product a few times a month, not every day. • Design for two distinct users in one product: the L&D Manager who needs fast, frequent, operational tools, and the Global HR Director who needs a clear, summarized view of impact across regions. • Build within Berlitz's shared design system while extending it with the patterns a data-heavy, enterprise admin product needs. • Help set the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Enterprise Products, balancing what buyers ask for against what actually drives retention and expansion. • Partner with Engineering and Product Management to ship an MVP fast, then iterate toward a product that can compete with established competitors. • Own part of the Enterprise KPIs (dashboard adoption, admin engagement, renewal and expansion metrics) and know how design moves them. • Treat compliance and security requirements, including SSO, SCIM provisioning, GDPR, and accessibility standards, as real design constraints from the start, not afterthoughts. • Mentor other product designers at Berlitz as the design team grows around you. Who you are • Have a proven track record designing and shipping B2B enterprise software, ideally admin consoles, reporting tools, or control panels built for HR, L&D, IT, or similarly technical buyers. • Experience taking a product from 0 to 1, with little existing structure to lean on and real comfort in ambiguity. • AI native experience. You're already deep in context engineering, MCP, generative design tools, and thinking in systems that support that. • Experience designing for more than one stakeholder in a single product, and knowing when a workflow needs speed versus when it needs clarity and summary. • A strong systems mindset. You've built or extended a design system before, beyond simply working within one someone else built. • Confidence handling the unglamorous but critical parts of enterprise product design: integrations, permissions, data-heavy interfaces, and compliance requirements. • The ability to work closely with Sales, Customer Success, or Procurement-facing teams to translate what enterprise buyers actually need into a usable product. • A results-driven approach. You set an ambitious bar for your own work and hold yourself to it. • Fluent English. Why you should join • Shape what's next. Our Enterprise customer platform doesn't exist yet. You'll define the product our biggest customers rely on, not maintain someone else's decisions. • Impact from day one. You'll be the first dedicated designer on Enterprise Products, working directly with the VP of Design and the leaders sponsoring this build. • One global Berlitz. Join a company actively rebuilding itself, with new products, new systems, and new ways of working across every team. • True remote-first flexibility. • Room to grow while we transform. Senior Product Designer, Learner App (m/f/d)

Berlitz has taught languages for almost 150 years, mostly in classrooms and with live teachers. Now we're putting that method in people's pockets. The Berlitz app connects structured lessons, AI speaking and writing practice, 1:1 sessions with human tutors, and visible progress into one learning loop on iOS and Android. We're launching it market by market, and growing it fast. Our learners are professionals who need a language for their career. Some pay for themselves. Others get Berlitz through their employer, who wants proof the investment is working. Both need an app they open every day because it helps them, and keep paying for because they can see themselves getting better. As Senior Product Designer, you'll own major parts of the learner app, from the first minute after download to the moment someone books their tenth tutor session. You'll report to the Staff Product Designer for this area of the business, and partner as an equal with Product Management, Engineering, and our AI and learning experience teams. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING • Design core learner journeys end to end across iOS and Android: onboarding and placement, daily learning, AI practice, tutor booking, progress, and the path from free to paid. • Design for habit and momentum. Find out why learners come back, why they drop off, and what makes them feel progress, then build that into the product. • Shape how learners speak and write with AI: conversational interfaces, real-time feedback on pronunciation and writing, and the moments where an AI tutor should hand over to a human one. • Work AI-native every day. Use AI design tools and agentic workflows to explore, prototype, and produce at speed, while staying the human in the loop who decides what's good enough to ship. • Pressure-test every PRD before it becomes a design. Question the assumptions, find the missing edge cases, and sharpen the problem with your PM, instead of passing a brief straight to a tool and accepting what comes back. • Hold AI output to a high bar. Run rigorous evals on what AI produces for craft, accessibility, localisation, and brand fit. When you see the same problem twice, fix it at the source by updating the design system. • Run research yourself. Talk to learners often, run usability tests, read the analytics, and set up experiments that tell us whether a change worked. • Own the conversion and retention moments (trials, paywalls, upgrade prompts, reminders) so they earn revenue without costing the learner's trust. • Design for corporate learners too: employer-paid access, entitlements, and the progress their company expects to see, without making the app feel corporate. • Build with Berlitz's shared design system and help it evolve, especially the mobile patterns, motion, and micro-interactions a daily-use app needs. Keep it structured so that both people and AI tools use it correctly. • Design for many markets and languages from the start, including text expansion, right-to-left scripts, and accessibility. • Work closely with engineers to ship fast, then sweat the details once it's live. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR • Several years designing and shipping consumer mobile apps that people use every day, with a portfolio that shows native iOS and Android craft. • Evidence that your design work moved retention, engagement, or conversion, and a clear view of how you measured it. • Strong interaction and visual design. You care how a screen feels in the hand: motion, feedback, and pacing, as well as how it looks. • Hands-on research and experimentation. You've run your own interviews and usability tests, and used A/B tests and analytics to make calls. • An understanding of B2B: how a product changes when the person paying isn't the person using it, and how to serve both. • Real experience with AI design tools (currently we mostly use Claude Design) and agentic workflows. You use tools like Claude Design, Figma Make, or Paper, and AI coding tools like Claude Code daily, and you can show examples where you rejected or reworked an AI output and explain why. • Experience working within a design system and extending it. • Clear communication, and the confidence to push back on PMs, engineers, and senior stakeholders with reasoning they can act on. • Fluent English. Another language is a plus. We are a language company, after all. • Based in Germany, Switzerland, or Hungary. NICE TO HAVE • A background in a learning, language, or content app, or another product built on a daily habit (reading, audio, fitness). • …

Product Manager - Growth & Website (m/f/d)

À distanceEN

We're building a new global Berlitz, and this is your opportunity to help shape it. Nearly 150 years of expertise, meeting the ambition and technology to power a new era of learning. If you are the kind of person who thrives in a fast-paced environment, isn’t afraid of a blank page, and is excited to help shape the future of a global company undergoing a significant transformation, you might belong at Berlitz! What You'll Own • The website, GEO, and the acquisition funnel, for the Career Professionals (individual, B2P) and Self Serve Employers (under 250 employees, under roughly $20,000 a year, no salesperson) segments specifically. • Self-serve conversion, from first visit through signup, upgrade, and, eventually, the point where an account outgrows self-serve and hands off to the Assisted tier. • The B2P and SMB messaging, in practice, not just in the shared Messaging Framework, this is the one seat that gets to see directly whether that messaging actually converts. What Success Looks Like • A defensible, evidence-backed answer to the LTV:CAC question this seat's own existence is gated on. • A written, documented Critical User Journey for the self-serve signup and upgrade path, which currently doesn't exist anywhere in the registry, despite being arguably the easiest journey in the company to document precisely, since nobody has to be interviewed to understand it. • Growth in self-serve revenue that either justifies this becoming a permanent Senior PM seat, or, just as validly, a clear, honest case that it shouldn't. What We're Looking For • Real self-serve growth experience.Funnel optimization, conversion, GEO, and a track record of moving a number without a sales team's help. • Comfort being precise about what the product actually does. The current messaging pillar "one system, individual to enterprise" is accurate for the core learner product but not for Command, since Self Serve Employers get no Command at all. You'll need to hold that distinction in your own funnel copy rather than overclaim it. • A bias toward writing things down. This seat starts with more open whitespace, no CUJ, no dedicated pod, than almost any other seat in the org, and the person who takes it will be building the paper trail as much as the funnel. At Berlitz, connecting people across languages and cultures is at the heart of what we do. Our global workplace reflects the diverse world we serve, bringing together different backgrounds, experiences and perspectives. We create an inclusive environment where everyone has an equal opportunity to belong, contribute and grow. Ready to shape what’s next? Join us and help build the future with us.

Senior Technical Project Manager (m/f/d)

We're building a new global Berlitz, and this is your opportunity to help shape it. Nearly 150 years of expertise, meeting the ambition and technology to power a new era of learning. If you are the kind of person who thrives in a fast-paced environment, isn’t afraid of a blank page, and is excited to help shape the future of a global company undergoing a significant transformation, you might belong at Berlitz! We're looking for people with software engineering backgrounds who are ready to move into technical project management, owning the business systems work behind our transition from a legacy stack to a new one. These are growth paths, not fully-formed PM seats. Our legacy stack involves over 100 systems across the globe including proprietary invoicing/billing/scheduling systems, two Salesforce instances and NetSuite, among others. Our new stack is HubSpot, Metronome, Stripe, NetSuite, and Workato. Getting from one to the other — while the business keeps running on both — is the core challenge of both tracks. We're hiring two people into this role. The skills profile is similar for both, but each hire will own one of two distinct tracks: O2C Integrations or CRM Projects. These tracks will eventually mature into a larger scope of internal tooling and enterprise customization. Track assignment will be based on candidate strengths and interest during onboarding, rather than decided in advance. Track 1: Order-to-Cash Integrations Projects Focused on building and connecting • Own the Order-to-Cash flow end-to-end — Across both tech stacks. You're accountable for how orders, invoicing, billing, and revenue data move through the business, regardless of which systems they touch. • Set integration ecosystem strategy — Define how integrations across business systems should be architected as a whole: point-to-point vs. centralized (e.g., via Workato), reusable patterns, and standards for how new systems connect in. • Co-build the Legacy system replacement s— Partner with the Enterprise product team as technical owner of how the new platform's O2C integration layer is architected, including data models and API contracts. • Control integration vendors — Own technical evaluation, SLAs, and build-vs-buy decisions for integration tooling and vendors across the ecosystem. • Bridge legacy and new-stack engineering teams — Be the technical point of contact ensuring O2C data contracts and dependencies are understood on both sides. Track 2: CRM & Martech Projects Focused on retiring and migrating CRM systems • Lead the Salesforce 2A sunset project — Own the plan, timeline, and execution for retiring this legacy Salesforce instance, coordinating data migration and cutover with dependent teams. • Lead the Salesforce STAR sunset project — Same ownership model, applied to the STAR instance. • Control the HubSpot vendor relationship — Own vendor management for HubSpot, including contract terms, SLA performance, and roadmap alignment with vendor capabilities. • Own marketing automations — Own the roadmap and execution for marketing automation workflows (built largely on HubSpot). Campaign strategy sits with Marketing; you own the tooling and execution layer those campaigns run on. • Manage sunset risk — Identify what breaks if a legacy system goes away too early, and build technically sound mitigation and rollback plans. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR • Software engineering background — you've built, maintained, or integrated production systems, ideally including APIs, middleware, or data pipelines. • Strong communication skills — able to explain technical tradeoffs to engineers, vendors, and business stakeholders alike. • Detail oriented and structured approach — planning and running complex, multi-stakeholder technical projects to completion, including sequencing, risk management, and timeline ownership. • Comfortable reading and reasoning about system architecture and data models across multiple connected systems without translation from engineering. • Comfortable with ambiguity, especially around evolving scope boundaries between adjacent teams during a platform migration. NICE TO HAVE • Familiarity with billing/invoicing/CRM systems (Salesforce, NetSuite, HubSpot, Stripe, Metronome, Workato, or similar). • Experience with vendor management, including contract and SLA negotiation. • Background in a company undergoing a legacy-to-modern platform migration. • Experience defining integration strategy or standards at an organizational level, not just shipping individual integrations; exposure to integration architecture patterns (point-to-point, iPaaS/middleware, event-driven). • Formal project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or similar) — helpful but not required with structured ways of working. WHY YOU SHOULD JOIN This is a rare, explicitly structured path out of pure engineering — you're hired as an engineer, judged on engineering judgment, and grow into …

If you are the kind of person who thrives in a fast-paced environment, isn’t afraid of a blank page, and is excited to help shape the future of a global company undergoing a significant transformation, you might belong at Berlitz! We are seeking a Senior Platform & DevOps Engineer to help design and scale our next-generation cloud infrastructure and software delivery ecosystem. In this role, you will take ownership of core areas of our internal engineering platform, partnering closely with the wider engineering team. While our development teams focus entirely on building high-performance services, your mission is to design the "paved road" that allows them to deploy code to production safely, rapidly, and autonomously. You will work cross-functionally with backend and product teams—providing CI/CD, architectural guidance, and support on shared projects—while enjoying high autonomy and low bureaucratic friction. Best of all, you will work primarily on greenfield services, building modern, clean infrastructure from scratch with minimal legacy debt. What you'll do • Greenfield Architecture: Architect, build, and operate secure, multi-account environments across AWS using modern Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles. • Flexible Container Management: Design and optimize container orchestration layers, standardizing on AWS ECS (Fargate) as the primary platform for lean microservices, and reserving AWS EKS (Kubernetes) for the specific cases where heavy workloads or complex scheduling require it. • CI/CD Pipeline Design: Build unified, reusable, and secure automated delivery workflows using GitHub Actions and modern deployment tooling. • Developer Enablement: Serve as the dedicated platform champion. Provide self-service infrastructure blueprints and automated guardrails so backend developers can own their deployment lifecycle without friction. • Observability & Reliability: Establish robust telemetry, logging, and alerting systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch) to ensure system health and deep visibility into our greenfield applications. • Security by Design: Embed automated security checks, IAM least-privilege models, and secure secrets management directly into the core platform layer. Who you are • Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) with high production autonomy. • AWS Expertise: Deep production-level knowledge of AWS core services (VPC, IAM, Networking, ECS, EKS, RDS, Lambda) and modern cloud design patterns. • Container Mastery: Deep understanding of Docker and container runtimes, with strong hands-on experience in AWS ECS (Fargate) and working knowledge of Kubernetes (EKS) for specialized use cases. • Infrastructure as Code: Advanced, clean proficiency with Terraform for managing modular and scalable cloud architectures. • CI/CD Ecosystems: High proficiency with GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, and artifact management. • Automation & Scripting: Strong capability to write maintainable code or tooling in Go, Python, or advanced Bash. • Collaboration: High self-motivation, excellent English communication skills, and a • strong remote-first work ethic. Why you should join us • AI-Native by Default: We build with Claude - code generation, API design, code reviews, architectural documentation, and debugging. You get first-class AI tooling that takes the boilerplate off your plate, so your time goes to system design, judgment, and the genuinely hard backend problems. • Pure Greenfield: No legacy code, no technical debt - you own the design of core services and domains for our global EdTech platform. • Infrastructure Support: A dedicated Platform Engineering team handles provisioning and CI/CD so you can build on AWS services directly. At Berlitz, connecting people across languages and cultures is at the heart of what we do. Our global workplace reflects the diverse world we serve, bringing together different backgrounds, experiences and perspectives.
