Learn more at http://www.getpliant.com/www.getpliant.com http://www.getpliant.com ABOUT THE ROLE Our Payment Programs team designs, launches and runs Pliant's card programs across Europe and the US. That includes our own commercial card products and the programs we build with banking and fintech partners. As a Payment Program Manager, you'll own card program implementations from start to finish. That covers scheme and partner setup, digital wallet launches, testing and go-live. Once a program is live, you'll keep it compliant and running well. You'll work closely with card schemes, banking partners, processors and vendors. Internally, you'll partner with Product, Engineering, Compliance, Risk, Finance and our Commercial teams. This is a hands-on individual contributor role. It suits someone who has already taken several card programs live, can run them independently, and wants real ownership in a fast-growing fintech. WHAT YOU’LL DO Card Program Implementation • Lead the launch of new card programs, products, markets and currencies, from scoping and requirements through to production release. • Manage scheme and partner onboarding across Visa and Mastercard, including BIN and product setup and the related scheme submissions. • Plan and coordinate end-to-end testing with our partners and sign off programs before launch. • Coordinate physical and virtual card launches, including card design approvals and production with external vendors. Digital Wallets & Tokenisation • Drive digital wallet launches such as Apple Pay and Google Pay, from issuer onboarding and certification through to go-live. • Extend existing wallet programs to new products, BINs and markets. • Monitor wallet and tokenisation performance and work with partners to resolve issues. Compliance & Program Health • Keep our programs aligned with scheme rules, mandates and new releases, and translate changes into clear actions. • Contribute to recurring scheme and partner reporting. • Work with Compliance and Fraud teams on program-level controls, and support escalations and audits when needed. Stakeholder & Project Management • Be the main point of contact for your programs, both internally and externally. • Translate business and partner needs into clear requirements for Product & Engineering. • Manage several projects in parallel, keep an eye on dependencies and risks, and give stakeholders clear, regular updates. Continuous Improvement • Improve and document how we launch and run programs, so they become faster and more repeatable. • Use AI and automation tools to reduce manual work across the team. WHAT YOU’LL BRING • 4–7 years of experience in payments, including at least 3 years of hands-on card program implementation at an issuer, processor, program manager or card-issuing fintech. • Hands-on experience launching and managing programs with both Visa and Mastercard. • Experience launching digital wallets and tokenisation, ideally including an Apple Pay issuer launch. • A solid understanding of the card lifecycle, including authorisation, clearing and settlement, 3DS and tokenisation, as well as physical card production. • A track record of delivering several multi-stakeholder projects at the same time, with clear ownership and reporting. • Technical fluency. You're comfortable with API documentation, transaction data and test results, and working day to day with engineers. • A structured, proactive way of working. You flag risks early and document as you go. • Fluent English, written and spoken. Nice to Have • An established network within the card schemes and the wider issuing ecosystem. • Experience with commercial card products, such as corporate, travel or virtual cards, and multi-currency programs. • Exposure to European and Global card programs. • Proficient SQL or data analysis skills. Learn more at http://www.getpliant.com/www.getpliant.com http://www.getpliant.com ABOUT THE ROLE Pliant builds corporate payment infrastructure, and the security team's job is to keep that infrastructure secure and compliant without slowing down the engineers building on it. This is the first Engineering Manager role for a team of two security engineers already covering DevSecOps, cloud security, and compliance today. You'll take over the people side while shaping where the function goes next, staying technical enough to drive lower-priority initiatives yourself, participate in reviews, and step in during incidents when the team needs you. WHAT YOU'LL DO • Own the security foundations the rest of engineering builds on: secure-by-default Terraform and Docker modules, hardened images for ECS and EKS workloads, and guardrails built into the developer platform rather than added afterwards. • Drive cloud security posture day to day: remediating findings from Wiz, keeping IAM, KMS, CloudTrail, and GuardDuty tuned as Pliant scales, and ensuring the alerts that fire are ones people should actually act on. • Automate compliance evidence collection for PCI DSS, SOC 2, ISO 27001, and DORA so audits stop being a scramble. • Run vulnerability management and incident response end to end: triage, SLAs, remediation, and post-mortems. • Build the application security practice through threat modeling, architecture reviews, and secure coding guidance that product teams actually use. • Use and build AI-native security tooling for VulnOps, red-teaming, and incident response as the threat landscape evolves. • Grow the team: two engineers are in place today, and who you hire next sets the technical bar for security at Pliant for a long time. WHAT YOU'LL BRING • Hands-on background in DevSecOps or cloud security, ideally with real ownership of an AWS environment. IAM, KMS, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, and SCPs are things you have worked with directly. • Proficiency in Terraform, including the ability to write secure, reusable modules from scratch. • Experience securing containerized workloads (ECS, EKS, or Kubernetes), including hardened base images and admission controllers. • Scripting ability in Python, Bash, or TypeScript sufficient to automate compliance checks and triage workflows rather than doing them by hand each quarter. • Working knowledge of PCI DSS, SOC 2, and/or ISO 27001, plus experience running vulnerability management at scale or leading incident response for something that mattered. • Experience managing engineers or leading technical work where people trusted your calls before you had the title, including at least one hiring decision worth learning from. • Ability to explain a security risk clearly to non-security audiences without losing accuracy. • A point of view on AI as an attacker's tool and how vulnerability response needs to change as discovery-to-exploitation windows keep shrinking. • Comfort with AI-assisted development tools, and the same rigour reviewing AI-generated PRs as any other. THE FIRST YEAR The first few months are mostly absorbing what is already running and meeting the people who depend on it: Platform Core, SRE, and the product teams who will come to you when something looks like a security question. You will also be hiring, as Pliant is looking for a third Security Engineer to onboard on the team. By mid-year, you have a security roadmap that is not just a backlog of audit findings, and the team has grown past its current two engineers. By year one, the security posture is something you can describe in metrics rather than vibes, and compliance evidence for the next audit is being collected automatically rather than assembled by hand the week before. STACK Terraform, Spacelift, AWS (including a dedicated PCI-scoped account), Datadog, Wiz. We're mid-migration from ECS to Kubernetes, so container security work spans both. WHAT WE OFFER • The …

Learn more at www.getpliant.com http://www.getpliant.com ABOUT THE ROLE Pliant builds corporate payment infrastructure, and the Platform team's job is to give the rest of engineering a cloud platform they can build on without having to think about it. This is the first Engineering Manager role for Platform Core, a team of four engineers already running Pliant's core Terraform, multi-account AWS, and IAM and networking foundations. You'll take over the people side while owning the roadmap for where the platform goes next, treating internal engineering teams as the customers of what you build. WHAT YOU'LL DO • Own the roadmap for Platform Core's Terraform infrastructure, multi-account AWS setup, and IAM/networking foundations. • Run Platform Core as an internal product, not a cost center: ensuring Spacelift guardrails, sensitive-resource checks, and mandatory tagging policies genuinely help other teams rather than get in their way. • Collaborate closely with Security Engineering to ensure access controls and compliance requirements are built into the platform from the ground up, not bolted on after the fact. • Steer the ongoing compute migration from ECS/Fargate to Kubernetes through to completion. • Manage and grow the team through 1:1s, hiring, and performance development. • Coordinate with the future SRE team and other platform functions as the team scales from a single team into several. WHAT YOU'LL BRING • 7–10 years in software or infrastructure engineering, including at least 3 years managing engineers directly. • Hands-on depth with Terraform, multi-account AWS, and container or serverless compute. You've run these systems in production, at scale. • Experience running infrastructure as an internal platform that other teams build on and depend on daily, with a high bar for incident and change management that requires. • A demonstrated track record of hiring and developing engineers, with specific examples of people you levelled or promoted. • Datadog or equivalent observability experience at scale. • Clear, confident communication for a technical, cross-team audience. • Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools such as Copilot, Claude Code, or Cursor, and the same rigour reviewing AI-generated PRs as any other. THE FIRST YEAR The first few months are focused on meeting the existing team and understanding what's already running before changing anything, including getting a real read on where the ECS-to-Kubernetes migration actually stands. By mid-year, you'll have a roadmap the team believes in, and the Spacelift guardrails will reflect decisions that have been properly reviewed rather than defaults nobody has revisited. By year one, the compute migration has moved meaningfully forward, and Platform Core is a team other functions actively seek out for help rather than simply depend on. Learn more at http://www.getpliant.com/www.getpliant.com http://www.getpliant.com ABOUT THE ROLE You're the first hire for a Site Reliability function that doesn't exist yet at Pliant. Today, reliability is a responsibility scattered across many different teams, each with their own priorities: on-call rotation is only just being introduced, there's no framework for SLOs, and nobody's job is reliability instead of firefighting it on the side of something else. You'll standardize the practice at Pliant while hiring the engineers to run it, coaching engineering teams to shift reliability from a burden into an integral part of the software development lifecycle. WHAT YOU'LL DO • Define the framework other teams use to set their own SLOs and error budgets, educating and supporting product teams along the way • Own blameless post-mortems and root-cause fixes; repeat incidents are treated as a process gap, not a signal about whoever was paged • Implement production readiness reviews so nothing new ships without one • Close gaps in Datadog observability coverage, including missing alerts, dashboard blind spots, and noisy pages that erode trust in on-call • Hire and build the team from the ground up, setting the technical and cultural bar for every engineer who joins after you WHAT YOU'LL BRING • 7-10 years of engineering experience, including at least 3 years directly managing engineers • A track record of hiring and developing engineers, with specific people you've levelled or promoted • Hands-on production or reliability engineering background. This is not a first management role, and you've carried a pager yourself • Strong AWS and Terraform experience, comfortable working inside a managed infrastructure-as-code pipeline • Experience building or running an on-call rotation and incident management process, not just participating in one • Strong platform observability experience. You know the difference between a good dashboard and a useless one • Clear communication for a technical, cross-team audience • A track record of pushing reliability practices upstream into product engineering teams, not just reacting to incidents after the fact • Proficiency with AI-assisted development (Claude Code, Cursor). Comfortable reviewing AI-written PRs as rigorously as any other THE FIRST YEAR • The first few months are about building the on-call rotation and incident process from scratch, since neither exists yet, and hiring the first engineers onto the team • By mid-year, you have SLOs defined for the services that matter most, a real incident review process, and at least one engineer on the team besides you • By year one, Site Reliability is a function other teams actually route to, not something they route around, and repeat incidents are trending down because the root-cause fixes stuck STACK Terraform, Spacelift, AWS (including a dedicated PCI-scoped account), Datadog. We're subject to PCI DSS, SOC 2, and ISO 27001, and Platform Core's migration toward Kubernetes will increasingly shape what reliability looks like here too. WHAT WE OFFER • The opportunity to work in a growing team with big responsibilities that thrives on a strong exchange of knowledge and excellence • Attractive remuneration • Your choice of preferred OS, Windows or Mac • Flat hierarchy and transparent communication in a relaxed, professional atmosphere • Opportunity to develop your talent in a dynamic team with ambitious goals • Flexibility and possibility to work remotely • Pliant Card with monthly credit to explore the product and enjoy food with colleagues Pliant is an equal opportunity employer. Learn more at http://www.getpliant.com/www.getpliant.com http://www.getpliant.com About the role Member Management is the trust layer of Pliant. The team owns identity, authentication, access and permissions, the full member lifecycle, and the multi-region tenant structure underneath it all. As Pliant moves up-market and works with banks and larger partners, this area becomes increasingly important: security reviews and vendor assessments depend heavily on how well we handle identity and access. As (Senior) Product Manager - Member Management (m/f/d), you will own how members - and increasingly AI agents - access Pliant. Your scope covers authentication (passkeys, eIDs, enterprise IDPs, SSO), the permissions model, the joiner-mover-leaver lifecycle, and multi-tenant, multi-region identity for partners and banks. The main challenge is combining bank-grade security with an access experience that stays simple for members. Every engineer at Pliant depends on what this team maintains. You'll own one or more infra domains end to end: design, build, operate, on call. You make the call, review the PRs, and answer the page. • Run Infrastructure as Code: Write and maintain Terraform modules for AWS resources across dev, staging, production, and PCI scoped accounts, orchestrated through Spacelift. • Maintain CI/CD at scale: Own GitHub Actions pipelines for a fleet of Java and Kotlin microservices, including reusable workflows, matrix strategies, and cache behavior. • Build operational tooling: Write Lambda functions in Go and Python for tasks like metrics collection, secret rotation, IAM authentication, and event dispatching. • Own observability: Set up Datadog monitors, dashboards, and SLOs that surface problems before a product engineer notices them. • Own security and compliance controls: Manage IAM, KMS, and access baselines that satisfy PCI DSS and SOC 2 without generating a support ticket every time a product team needs something. • Take part in on call: Join the rotation the team is currently shaping and own your incidents. • Use AI assisted coding tools daily: Claude Code, Cursor, or something equivalent, both to ship features and to help peers get more out of them. WHAT YOU'LL BRING • 5+ years in platform or infrastructure engineering, with meaningful time spent on production AWS at scale. • Solid AWS experience: VPC design, IAM, ECS and EKS, Lambda, RDS. You know when the right answer is a managed service and when it isn't. • Terraform proficiency: you write modules and have dealt with state migrations, drift, and broken remote states in a shared codebase. You're comfortable reading a plan output. • Experience with Spacelift or a similar IaC orchestration tool. • Kubernetes experience designing and running production workloads at scale. We're currently planning a migration from ECS to EKS, so this experience will be especially valuable. • CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions at scale: reusable workflows, matrix strategies, and cache behavior. You're the person other engineers ask when the pipeline is doing something weird. • Observability as a default: Datadog or equivalent, with monitors, dashboards, and SLOs as part of your definition of done. • High Python proficiency: you can navigate our codebase and implement complex features for our internal customers. • Clear communication with product engineers: you can explain a trade off in two sentences and can talk with non technical peers without pulling up code. • Experience with AWS IAM Roles Anywhere and certificate based authentication patterns. • Fluency with AI assisted coding tools such as Claude Code or Cursor, used to ship features, not just review code. BONUS POINTS • Compliance awareness: we operate under PCI DSS, ISO 27001, and SOC 2. • Familiarity with Go, enough to maintain and extend Lambda functions. If you don't tick this box, that's fine as long as you're willing to learn. • Kafka cluster operations experience. WHAT THE FIRST YEAR LOOKS LIKE • The first weeks are orientation: learning the accounts, the IaC setup, the CI …
