Product Owner - Imunify Email (remote work)

Remote ✓
C

CloudLinux is the maker of Imunify360 — a suite of security products protecting millions of websites across the web hosting industry. Our email security line covers both sides of the email problem for hosting providers: an inbound anti-spam engine integrated with hosting control panels, and an outbound SMTP gateway that protects sender reputation and keeps legitimate mail out of the spam folder. We are looking for a Product Owner to run the team that builds and operates this product line. You will lead a small, senior, fully remote squad (currently 7–8 people: Go and Python engineers, a deliverability engineer, an anti-spam engineer, and data analysis/annotation) and be accountable for what the team ships, how reliably it runs, and how the people on it grow. This is a hands-on lead role , not a pure people-management role. Expect roughly 60% leadership (delivery, technical direction, coaching, incident command) and 40% hands-on engineering (design reviews, code review, spikes, production debugging). You are not expected to be the top individual contributor on the team — you are expected to be able to read every part of the system and hold a credible technical opinion about it. You don't need to arrive as an email expert. If you have led engineers in an adjacent technical domain — infrastructure, networking, security, messaging, anti-abuse — and have a track record of getting deep into complex technical territory fast, we will teach you the email side. The system you would inherit • Inbound filtering: an Rspamd-based engine with a trained rule/ML model, released on a regular retraining cycle and measured on spam catch rate and false-positive rate. • Outbound gateway: a Halon-based SMTP relay with per-domain warm-up ladders, rate limiting, quarantine, feedback-loop (ARF) processing, and a customer portal — Go services on bare metal. • Panel integrations: cPanel/WHM, Plesk, DirectAdmin, plus Debian/Postfix deployments for large hosting partners. • Data plane: Elasticsearch, Redis, Grafana dashboards and alerting, corpus and annotation pipelines feeding model training. • Delivery: GitLab, Jenkins, Jira, weekly release cadence, blameless post-mortems within 24 hours. What you will own Delivery: • Turn the product backlog into a credible, sequenced engineering plan — estimates, dependencies, and a release train the team actually hits. • Run the team's weekly cadence: planning, release readiness, status reporting with real numbers rather than adjectives. • Own engineering quality gates for model releases: no detection model ships without a measured catch rate and false-positive deltas against the previous model, and a rollback path. • Keep technical debt visible and funded — negotiate it into the roadmap rather than absorbing it silently. • Report delivery status and risk to engineering leadership weekly; every item carries an owner and a due date. Technical direction: • Own the architecture of the email stack together with the architecture group: review designs, write and approve ADRs, and make build-vs-buy calls with explicit trade-offs. • Review code and designs on the critical path — mail flow, rate limiting, quarantine, authentication — and set the bar for tests, observability, and safe rollout. • Own production health: SLOs, alerting, capacity, and the deliverability posture of our sending infrastructure (IP reputation, SPF/DKIM/DMARC, rDNS, RBL listings). • Act as incident commander for product-impacting events: coordinate remediation across teams, keep partners informed, and author the post-mortem within 24 hours with named owners and dates. People: • Lead a distributed team across the globe: 1:1s, goal setting, performance reviews, and career development. • Hire: define the profile, run technical interviews, onboard, and mentor engineers • Set the working agreements that make async work — written decisions, public-by-default communication, durable artifacts over meetings. AI-augmented engineering: We evaluate engineers here partly on how effectively they work with coding agents. As the lead you are expected to model and coach this: prompt specificity, review quality on agent-generated code, tool-boundary awareness, context provision, iteration effectiveness, error recovery, and end-to-end task completion. The team has already scaffolded its repositories for agent-assisted development; extending that to the model and rule pipelines is live work First 90 days: • 30 days: Own the release train and the weekly status; be able to trace an inbound message and an outbound message end to end through the stack; complete 1:1s with every team member and produce a written read on the team's strengths and gaps. • 60 days: Own on-call and incident command for the product line; publish the current SLOs and the top three reliability risks with mitigations; land at least one non-trivial change yourself. • 90 days: Present a technical roadmap for the email stack agreed with the PO and the …

About Apheris Apheris hosts the industry's largest federated data networks for drug discovery AI, spanning co-folding, ADMET, and antibody developability. Leading pharma companies train higher-performing models on this data without ever exposing it, and we deliver those models through Apheris Foundry, our drug discovery platform. About the role We're building out the team that turns our networks into models pharma teams actually use. You'll scope and stand up new networks, run execution end to end with partners like the world's top pharma companies, and get Apheris Foundry embedded into their live drug discovery programs, not just evaluated, actually used. This is a high-ownership, high-visibility seat. You'll be the person top pharma scientists call when something needs to move, and the person who turns a network from concept to models running in production. Our networks are scaling fast and the work is only getting bigger from here. About you You know molecular ML and drug discovery workflows well enough to hold your own with computational chemists, DMPK scientists, and structural biologists. You get concrete fast, even under pressure, and you'd rather show a plan than describe one. You've run complex, multi-party programs before and you know the difference between managing a process and actually owning an outcome. We're looking for someone with 3+ years in scientific or technical program management, alliance management, or customer-facing delivery of scientific software, who wants real ownership over how our networks and our platform land with some of the biggest names in pharma. What we offer you Competitive compensation with early-stage virtual share options, a remote-first setup with real flexibility on where you work, and genuine investment in your wellbeing: mental health support, a work-from-home and co-working budget, a learning budget, and generous holiday. We bring the team together three times a year, in Berlin and elsewhere in Europe.

Staff/Senior Software Engineer - Hydris - Golang (d/f/m)

Remote

New Challenge About Us Project Q GmbH ("Q") is a Germany-based DefenseTech company with offices in Berlin and Munich. We network market-available sensors, effectors, or situational awareness systems into a tactical IoT backbone that reliably provides armed forces and security agencies with cross-domain information superiority — automated, scalable, and cost-efficient. Our solutions integrate seamlessly into existing defense and maritime infrastructures, delivering fast data fusion and AI-enhanced analytics for robust situational awareness in dynamic environments. We build platform-agnostic systems that enable real interoperability across domains. As a Staff Software Engineer, you'll directly impact the technical direction of our orchestration products – Hydris – the coordination engine for sensors and mission systems, and the interoperability API that underpins it. You'll work at the layer where heterogeneous real-world systems like radars, AIS receivers, LoRa mesh radios, satellite feeds, and C2 platforms become a single coherent picture. The problems lie in distributed systems, protocols, and data modeling areas. They play out in environments that are bandwidth-constrained, intermittently connected, and operationally unforgiving. The role is deeply hands-on, but it expects you to shape what we build and how we build it, not just deliver what's specified. What you'll do Core engine development • Design and build the systems that power Hydris. • Go is your primary language. You should be comfortable reading Rust and TypeScript across the codebase, even if you're not writing in them day-to-day. • Own the architecture of a system that must run reliably on edge hardware, in disconnected mesh networks, and at scale — often all of that simultaneously. Protocol and integration architecture • Evolve the schema that defines how every sensor, asset, and mission system talks to Hydris. • Make API design decisions that hold up across our client libraries without creating a maintenance burden. • Continue refining the integration framework that lets Hydris connect to new sensor types, data sources, and command systems. • Set the patterns for how built-in integrations (ADS-B, AIS, ASTERIX, Meshtastic, SpaceTrack, TAK, federation) are structured, tested, and maintained. • Make it straightforward for external developers and system vendors to build their own plugins/integrations to Hydris. Distributed systems • Architect the peer-to-peer mesh and federation layer that keeps Hydris operational in disconnected, denied, intermittent, and limited-bandwidth environments. • Solve the hard coordination problems: conflict resolution across federated nodes, eventual consistency of entity state, and track correlation across unreliable links. • Ensure the system degrades gracefully rather than failing completely when connectivity is lost or constrained. Technical leadership • Set technical standards for the codebase: how we test distributed behavior, how we handle protocol versioning, how we think about backward compatibility in an API-first product. • Review code with a focus on long-term maintainability and operational correctness, not just feature completion. • Make build-versus-integrate decisions and help the team clearly understand the trade-offs. You should apply if you • Have built and shipped distributed systems that run in production, ideally in environments where reliability matters more than convenience. • Are comfortable working across the stack, from Protobuf schema design and systems-level Go, to the TypeScript that puts a map in front of a user. • Have well-formed views about API design and protocol evolution, informed by experience maintaining APIs that other people depend on. • Can operate effectively with a high degree of autonomy but are adept at collaboration with colleagues toward high-quality technical decisions, at scale. • Are interested in contributing to European military, maritime, and critical infrastructure defence systems. • Write clearly and communicate architectural decisions in a way that survives beyond the conversation where they were made. Working language is English. German is not required. You'd be a great fit with • Experience with geospatial systems, sensor fusion, or track management. • Familiarity with defense or ISR data standards like CoT/TAK, ASTERIX, SAPIENT, MIL-STD-2525. • Background in networking, mesh architectures, or systems designed for contested or degraded communication environments. • Experience working on developer-facing open-source infrastructure where adoption depends on the quality of the API and documentation. We Offer • Remote work anywhere in Germany, or hybrid/on-site in Berlin or Munich if you're already based there and prefer an office. • High degree of autonomy and ownership, a flat structure, and real input into technical direction. • Annual €1500 Learning & development budget (available after probation). • Bike Leasing …

About Kalepa: Insurance is a $7T global industry built on professional labor: underwriting, claims, pricing, operations, and distribution. Kalepa is building AI that can perform that work. We create professional-grade AI systems for insurers: software that can read, reason, decide, and act inside real workflows and operate over long-time horizons. Kalepa begins by augmenting professionals with the tools to succeed at their jobs. That earns us the right to learn from real decisions, capture decision traces, and automate what can be automated successfully over time. Our products are already in production with leading insurers, driving measurable outcomes and expanding across functions. The opportunity is far broader than any single workflow: to build the AI operating system for decision-making across insurance. For people who want to work on AI that matters, in a sector where correctness, trust, and real-world impact count, Kalepa is just getting started. Kalepa is backed by leading investors such as IA Ventures and Inspired Capital, and our team brings experience from Meta, Palantir, Block, Affirm, Google, Amazon, McKinsey, Mastercard, and Uber. Our Values (This is important): Our culture is shaped by everyday decisions. Our values help us make them thoughtfully and consistently, especially when tradeoffs are difficult. We learn from mistakes so our good decisions outweigh our bad ones and their benefits compound over time. • Excellence - We take pride in our craft and expect excellent outcomes in everything we do. We set high standards, verify our work, and own the result. We make deliberate tradeoffs, including rethinking an approach, redoing work, or investing more time. • Pursuit of the Truth - We seek the truth, even when it is uncomfortable. We question assumptions, give candid feedback, and change our minds when evidence warrants it. We work with customers to understand their challenges and what solving them requires. • Ensuring Customer Success - We take responsibility for delivering results that matter to our customers. We measure success through improvements in their growth, profitability, and efficiency. We challenge our approach and customers’ requests when necessary, remaining accountable for the outcome. • First Principles Thinking - We reason from a problem’s underlying facts, objectives, and constraints. We distinguish what is necessary from what is familiar and question assumptions that limit possible solutions. We test our reasoning against reality and address root causes with approaches that scale without unnecessary complexity. In addition to our NY office, we have remote employees speaking 10+ languages across the globe. But we invest in bringing our people together both for regional meetups and global offsites (2021 - Playa Del Carmen | 2022 - Rome | 2023 - Buenos Aires | 2024 - Lisbon | 2025 - Cartagena | 2026 - Tbilisi). Kalepa’s culture isn’t for everyone, and that’s ok. But for the people who are a fit, they can’t imagine working elsewhere. Salary range: $60k – $70k USD* We are looking for smart engineers who love to code, seek challenging problems, and appreciate recognition for excellent work. As an engineer at Kalepa, you'll work on real product and R&D systems at the intersection of software engineering and applied AI. You will contribute to backend services, data and ML pipelines that support our product used by commercial insurance underwriters. You'll help build and improve systems that ingest, process, and reason over large volumes of structured and unstructured data, including documents, third-party sources, and model outputs. This is hands-on engineering work on problems that matter to the business, with ownership of features end to end. You'll collaborate closely with experienced full-stack, backend, ML, and platform engineers, and you'll be expected to contribute to how production systems are designed, built, tested, and operated at scale. We're a small team where individual contributions have an outsized impact on both our technology and our business. You'll Be a Good Fit If You: • Have approximately 1 year of professional software engineering experience building and shipping production systems • Have strong fundamentals in at least one programming language and know Python • Have a degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience • Enjoy writing code and solving non-trivial technical problems • Are curious about AI, data, and real-world applications of machine learning • Take ownership and are comfortable working with ambiguity • Move fast, learn quickly, and value high standards • Appreciate direct feedback, meritocracy, and transparency What We Offer: • Competitive salary based on experience level* • Significant equity options package • Direct work on core systems at a fast-growing AI startup, with a steep learning curve • Fully remote work from Europe • Onsite team events in …

About the role As Grüns scales rapidly, we’re looking for a strategic and hands-on Manager of Science & Research to play a critical role in shaping the scientific foundation behind new product innovation and marketing strategies. This role will sit at the intersection of science, marketing, and product, ensuring we build trust with our customers and continue to launch first-of-their-kind formulas backed by evidence and data. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a passion for advancing health and wellness, and a strong scientific background, with demonstrated expertise in claims substantiation and clinical research design and analysis. This is a foundational hire for the business and an opportunity to shape how we think about research, compliance, and education as we expand our portfolio, and will report into our Director of Science and Regulatory. This role is part of our remote HQ! We have a fully remote, high-trust work environment - and also come together on a bi-annual basis for amazing off-sites where we can connect IRL. In this role, you will: • Claims Research & Substantiation : Evaluate existing and emerging ingredients to develop new, evidence-based claims across our product portfolio (Grüns, Grüns kids, Nütrops, Immün, Jüced, and future innovations). You’ll be responsible for successfully implementing new claims across all current and upcoming products. • Marketing Compliance : Review marketing materials to elevate claims and ensure regulatory compliance. You’ll help ensure that all customer-facing content is both compliant and compelling. • Innovation Research & R&D : Partner with the Product and Marketing teams to research ingredient benefits, inform new formulas, and support early-stage product ideation. You’ll play a key role in developing and supporting first-of-their-kind innovations. • Clinical Studies : Support clinical study initiatives for new products, working closely with Director of Science and Regulatory and third-party partners to design and execute trials. You’ll help establish credibility in effective offerings across multiple consumer needs categories. • Internal Education : Develop clear substantiation dossiers, scientific guidelines, and AI-enabled projects to upskill internal teams. By year one, these should be embedded in onboarding and internal communications to ensure cross-functional fluency. We're looking for someone who: • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in science, regulatory affairs, or product development, including at least 1+ year within the dietary supplement or food industry in a related capacity. • Education: Master’s degree or higher in a health-related scientific field (ex. nutrition, biochemistry, molecular biology, physiology, public health, etc.). PhD preferred. • Scientific Expertise : Deep understanding of scientific research methods plus strong critical thinking and analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex scientific information into concise, actionable insights. • Innovation Mindset : Passion for uncovering new ingredient science and supporting product formulation. • Clinical Know-how : Experience with clinical study design, management, and analysis is preferred. • Regulatory Fluency : Familiarity with FDA and FTC regulations related to dietary supplements, especially regarding structure/function claims and substantiation. Understanding of dietary supplement labeling, GRAS assessments, and new dietary ingredient (NDI) submissions, a plus. • Solution-Oriented Mindset : Brings a collaborative, can-do approach to problem solving, focused on finding paths forward rather than roadblocks. Knows how to assess risk thoughtfully and take smart, calculated bets when needed. • Communication Skills : Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to tailor communication to both technical and non-technical audiences. • Working Style : Curious, solutions-oriented, collaborative, and organized with a bias toward action and creating scalable processes. Approach to the role: • Self-motivated and proactive - takes initiative in identifying research opportunities and drives projects forward independently while keeping stakeholders informed • Detail-oriented and scientifically rigorous - maintains high standards for accuracy in claims substantiation and ensures all research meets regulatory compliance requirements • Highly organized and process-driven - develops scalable systems for research documentation, claims tracking, and cross-functional collaboration to support rapid business growth • Time-efficient and results-focused - prioritizes high-impact research initiatives and manages multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines • Collaborative and solutions-oriented - works seamlessly across science, marketing, and product teams to translate …
