Senior Software Engineer, Backend

RemoteEN

Hi, I’m Paul, VP of Engineering at Customer.io . We’re looking for experienced backend engineers who care deeply about reliability, performance, and scalability. You’ll design, build, and evolve the systems that power communication at massive scale - while helping us push the boundaries of what great engineering can look like. About Customer.io Over 9,000 companies - from scrappy startups to global brands - use our platform to send billions of emails, push notifications, in-app messages, and SMS every day. Customer.io powers automated communication that people actually want to receive. We help teams send smarter, more relevant messages using real-time behavioral data. Under the hood: Go, React, Ember and AI help us ship fast and scale with confidence. What We Value Ownership You own problems end to end. You move fast, act like an owner, and thrive in ambiguity. You've led complex projects before, whether officially or not, and you're ready to do it again. Engineers with product taste You think like a user, not just an engineer. You care how your systems power real customer value - and how to make them better. A healthy skepticism for “the way things are done.” You bring rigor and creativity. Best practices matter - but never more than forward motion. What You’ll Do • Design and build distributed systems in Go that help customers send timely, relevant messages at scale • Collaborate across teams to debug issues and deliver reliable solutions • Own problems end to end - from architecture and schema design to testing, deployment, and monitoring • Participate in an on-call rotation as required, supporting the reliability of the systems you build • Share knowledge and raise the bar through sharing your progress publicly with short videos, thoughtful writing, and mentorship • Use AI agents to make multi-file changes by scoping the work, writing the prompt, and verifying the output What we're looking for • 7+ years of experience building scalable, distributed systems in Go (or similar statically typed languages) • Comfort working in cloud-native environments (AWS, GCP) • Familiarity with relational databases (we use MySQL) and an understanding of performance tradeoffs • Experience with observability tooling and operating production systems • A bias for action over perfection, and pride in owning technical decisions Compensation & Benefits We believe in transparency. Starting salary for this role is $150,000 - $200,000 USD (or equivalent in local currency) depending on experience and subject to market rate adjustment. In addition to base salary, this role includes an equity grant in the form of stock options, so you share in the success you help build. We know our people are what make us great, and we’re committed to taking great care of them. Our inclusive benefits package supports your well-being and growth, including 100% coverage of medical, dental, vision, mental health, and supplemental insurance premiums for you and your family . We also offer 16 weeks paid parental leave , unlimited PTO , stipends for remote work and wellness, a professional development budget, and more. See full benefits here Our Process No gotchas, no trick questions - just a clear, human process designed to help both of us make an informed decision. • Application - We review everyone with care. Tell us why you're interested. • Recruiter Call (30 mins) - Let’s chat about what you’re looking for and how we work. • Hiring Manager Interview (60 mins) - Talk with one of our hiring managers about your working style and a project you've owned end-to-end, plus a short AI-assisted coding exercise. • Technical Interview (60 mins) - A collaborative system design conversation focused on scaling challenges. • Take-Home Assignment - Complete a short, realistic task similar to what you’d work on here. • Assignment Review Call (60 mins) - Walk us through your work and discuss tradeoffs, priorities, and how you’d iterate. All final candidates will be asked to complete a background check and employment verifications as part of our pre-employment process. Customer.io recognizes the stifling impact of systemic injustice on diverse communities. We commit to using our influence to increase inclusion and equity within the tech industry. We strive to build an inclusive team culture, implement bias-free hiring practices, and develop community partnerships to expand our global impact. Zoom is the only video conference platform that we use, virtual interviews will be conducted using the video capability (i.e., not via the chat), and offers will be extended in writing on official Customer.io letterhead. Please be vigilant in all of your job search activity, and if you have any questions please contact jobs@customer.io. Join us! Sales Operations Manager

We are toogeza, a Ukrainian recruiting company that is focused on hiring talents and building teams for tech startups worldwide. People make a difference in the big game, we may help to find the right ones. Currently, we are looking for a Sales Operations Manager for RNK Health. Type: Full-time Location: Remote About RNK Health RNK Health is a fast-growing telehealth brand. We help people get treatments like NAD+, sermorelin, tirzepatide, semaglutide, and B12 — prescribed by licensed providers and shipped to their door. We run our own ads, our own funnels, and our own sales and support team. What this job is You own the machine the sales team runs on — the systems, the data, and the deliverability. If a call gets flagged as spam, a text doesn't land, a lead routes to the wrong rep, or the dashboard lies, that's you. You make sure the team's tools work, their numbers are trustworthy, and their messages actually reach people. This is a hands-on, technical operations job. You'll configure dialers, register campaigns, chase down deliverability problems, build routing rules, and keep the reporting honest. You partner closely with the Sales Director, who owns the people and the words — you own the plumbing underneath. What you'll own • Phone and text deliverability. Our calls and texts have to land. You watch spam-flag rates, keep numbers healthy, rotate them when needed, manage local presence and branded calling, and A2P 10DLC registration. You own text delivery rates and fix blocking problems before they cost a week of revenue. You work directly with the vendors (Twilio, First Orion, and others). • Systems and tooling. Own our tools and how they connect. Configure them yourself — powerlists, dialer settings, integrations, link and UTM tracking. When the Sales Director needs a new capability, you build or source it. • Lead routing and distribution (build). The Director sets the strategy for who gets which leads; you build and maintain the routing that makes it happen — speed-to-lead rules, cadence automation, no-answer logic. • Tracking and attribution. Own how we attribute calls, links, and purchases: UTM and link structure, subscription metadata, call tracking, and pickup / connect / conversion measurement. If we can't trust the numbers, nothing else matters. • Reporting and dashboards. Own the data behind the sales dashboard — the pipeline, the definitions, the accuracy. The Director reads the numbers; you make sure they're right and available. • Testing infrastructure. The Director decides what to test; you run it cleanly — proper setup, one variable at a time, correct measurement, and a written record of results. You make sure a 'win' is really a win. • Compliance (technical). You implement the compliant opt-in flows, consent tracking, A2P registration, and subscription disclosures. You work with the Director and compliance to keep every channel legal at the systems level. Who we're looking for • Three or more years in sales ops, rev ops, or a technical operations role supporting an inside sales or call center team • You know phone systems, dialers, and CRMs well enough to configure them yourself, not just file a ticket • You've fixed a spam-flagging or text-blocking problem before and can explain exactly how • You live in spreadsheets and can build a report someone can actually trust • You understand A2P 10DLC, deliverability, and calling/texting compliance — or can get up to speed fast • You're the person who notices a number is wrong before anyone acts on it Nice to have • Experience in telehealth, supplements, weight loss, or another subscription health business • Experience with dialer tools (Kixie, Calltools, or similar), omnichannel marketing tools (Customer.io http://Customer.io, SalesMSG, or similar), CRM (Sales Force, HubSpot, GoHighLevel, or similar), and other sales-related software (Twilio, First Orion, Plivo, etc.) • You've set up A2P 10DLC or branded calling from scratch • Light scripting / SQL, or comfort with APIs and integrations First 90 days • Days 1–30: Learn our stack end to end (Kixie, Customer.io http://Customer.io, CRM, tracking), audit our number health and deliverability, and hand us a written list of the biggest systems and deliverability leaks. • Days 31–60: Fix the top deliverability issue, clean up lead routing, and get our tracking and attribution trustworthy end to end. • Days 61–90: Stand up a reporting layer the Director and leadership can trust, and deliver a clear roadmap for tooling and deliverability for the next quarter. How to apply Send your resume plus a short note answering two questions: • Our texts start getting blocked on a Monday morning. Walk us through your first four hours. • Describe a system or deliverability problem you fixed that saved or made real money. What was broken, what did you do, and how did you measure it?

Lifecycle Manager

V

ABOUT VIKTOR Viktor is the AI employee that lives in Slack and Microsoft Teams, connects to thousands of tools, and does the work: reports, dashboards, code, campaigns. Our mission is to give every company an AI employee. The team is small. The scope is not. THE SHORT VERSION You own the lifecycle machine: every email and nudge that turns a signup into a daily user, a single user into a team, and a lapsed workspace into a returning one. You take over our existing lifecycle system and build both the self-serve and the sales-led journeys, and everything about where it goes next is your call. First dedicated lifecycle owner, hands-on in Customer.io http://Customer.io daily, judged on activation, net revenue retention, and reactivated revenue. You ship every week. WHAT'S ACTUALLY GOING ON HERE Tens of thousands of people sign up, and what happens after signup is decided largely by lifecycle: the emails and messages that turn a curious signup into a daily user, a single user into a team, and a lapsed workspace into a returning one. In May 2026 we closed a $75M Series A led by Accel, with Slack's founders co-investing. The product works and the market is pulling. Lifecycle is the least-owned lever we have. Today it is run by the Head of Growth as a side quest, with an agency that has been rebuilding the system: ten tracks, 20 flows, structured A/B testing with holdouts, and personalisation off survey attributes, all on Customer.io http://Customer.io with a dedicated sending domain. That system needs an owner who treats it as their number, not a vendor relationship. That is this hire. First dedicated lifecycle owner, reporting to our CMO. You take over the existing system and the interesting work starts on day one. WHAT YOU'LL ACTUALLY DO • Activation. Our biggest leak is between a user's first message to Viktor and their first scheduled task. You own the email and in-channel nudge side of closing it. (In-product activation belongs to Product; you two will be joined at the hip.) • Expansion. Half of paying workspaces still have only one active human. Seat expansion and usage expansion are open headroom, and the motion is dormant. You build it. • Sales-led journeys. Journeys that warm up bigger accounts and hand the right ones to sales at the right moment. You grow the revenue they touch, together with sales. • Retention and reactivation. Churn here is mostly voluntary and win-back is brand new. You own it and iterate on real revenue numbers. • The advocacy engine. Lifecycle comms for referrals, creators, and implementation specialists: one pitch per person per cycle, credits-led, never spammy. The programs have owners; the email layer is yours. • Segmentation and data. You define the segmentation roadmap (buyer vs end-user, team size, usage stage) and drive the data dependencies with engineering. Reach and person-attribute coverage in our ESP is a live engineering conversation, not a solved problem: you are the internal customer who keeps it moving. • The channel itself. Deliverability, sending domains, send hygiene, frequency capping, and the quality bar on every email that leaves the building. High touch and human, never mass and lazy. THE BAR Judged on activation rate, net revenue retention, and reactivated revenue, not on sends shipped or campaign count. "The calendar was full" is not the bar. "More signups become teams, and more teams stay and grow" is. "I'd brief an agency to build that" is an instant no-hire. You are the builder. HOW YOU'LL KNOW IT'S WORKING • 30 days. Full command of the inherited system: every track, flow, segment, suppression rule, and dashboard. The test program runs under your hand, not the agency's. • 60 days. Handoff complete and invisible. First test reads actioned: losers killed or rewritten, winners scaled. First segmentation win shipped with engineering. • 90 days. Activation, expansion, and reactivation each have a north-star number, a live campaign system behind it, and a trend you can defend in a growth review. WHO YOU ARE • You have run lifecycle for a usage-based or PLG B2B SaaS, where revenue comes from seats and usage, not cart recovery. You know why that difference changes everything. • You've driven monetisation through both a self-serve and a sales-led funnel in a product-led business. • Hands-on Customer.io http://Customer.io (or an equivalent you can prove), including segments, campaigns, webhooks, and event-triggered flows you built yourself. • Data fluency: you write SQL, you live in product analytics, and you pull your own segments instead of filing a ticket. • You can put numbers on your best work: what the activation or retention metric was, what you did, what it became. • You run experiments with a method you can explain: how you design them, how you scale the winners, and the results that mattered. • AI-native, for real. We use Viktor to build Viktor, and you will work with him to run …

CRM/ CVM / Lifecycle/Retention Marketing Lead (US b2c subscription only)

Remote ✓EN

CVM Lead (US Market) Location: Remote Job Type: Full-time About JobHire.AI JobHire.AI is a vertical AI agent that automates job search for professionals in the US market. We find, tailor, and apply to jobs on behalf of thousands of paying subscribers — at scale and with precision. We operate a subscription model with monthly and longer-term tiers, plus paid add-ons. We're entering a phase where deeper customer value management — not just acquisition — is the single biggest unlock for profitable growth. Why This Role Now We are spending efficiently to acquire users — but a substantial portion of revenue is left on the table after the first purchase. RegPurchase conversion is below where it should be. Rebill rates erode quickly past month one. Add-on attach is minimal. Our reactivation engine is currently offline. We've been operating an email-only CRM on a platform that doesn't return analytics through its API. That ends with this hire. This is a role for someone who has already done the transformation we need: turning a basic broadcast CRM into a measurable CVM function that drives incremental revenue across email, SMS, and web push — on the US market specifically. What You'll Own Funnel Conversion • Drive RegPurchase conversion through triggered post-quiz, paywall-abandonment, and onboarding sequences across email, SMS, and web push. • Own first-purchase activation across the first 7 days. Retention & Rebill • Differentiate renewal sequences by plan tier (1 / 3 / 6 month). • Build pre-cancel intervention flows — pause offer, plan-switch, value reminder — using captured cancel reason. • Move the dial on month-1 rebill rate, the single most leveraged metric in our subscription economics. Reactivation • Build the reactivation engine for the cancelled cohort — across email and SMS, personalized by cancel reason and tenure. • Recover revenue from a base that is currently dormant due to deliverability issues. Add-on Monetization • Own the CRM-driven path to add-on products (Resume Review, Resume Builder): timing, segmentation, copy, channel. Channel & Tooling • Lead the migration off our current ESP onto our chosen omnichannel platform (Maestra is the current candidate; Customer.io is the alternative). • Recover and maintain email domain reputation. • Stand up SMS as a first-class channel — including US compliance (TCPA, A2P 10DLC). • Stand up web push and orchestrate cross-channel flows (email SMS push cascades). Measurement • Implement incremental measurement with holdouts on every flow. We don't want activity reports — we want incremental revenue, attributable and defensible. Expected Outcomes First 3 Months • Email deliverability restored to historical baseline. • Reactivation campaign launched with measurable incremental conversion against a holdout. • Differentiated renewal flows live for 1 / 3 / 6 month plans. • Decision (signed off with engineering) on omnichannel platform: migrate to Maestra or alternative. First 6 Months • SMS and web push live as ongoing production channels in lifecycle flows. • Measurable lift in RegPurchase conversion via paywall-abandonment and post-registration triggered sequences. • Measurable lift in month-1 rebill rate via differentiated and intervention flows. • Add-on attach rate (Resume Review, Resume Builder) materially up via CRM-driven sales sequences. • Per-flow incremental revenue reported weekly via proper holdout methodology. 12 Months • CVM channel contributing as a top-3 incremental revenue source for the company. • Cross-channel lifecycle strategy (email + SMS + web push + iMessage/RCS as those channels mature in the US) live and documented. • Process documentation and tooling stable enough to remove key-person risk. We keep our hiring process quick and simple: • HR Introduction Call • Team Interviews • Challenge • Reference Check (with three prior managers) Requirements You're a Fit If You Have • 3+ years operating CVM/lifecycle programs on the US market specifically. US b2c subscription. This is non-negotiable — US deliverability, US carriers, US consumer behavior, US compliance. • 5+ years total in CRM / lifecycle / CVM, with at least one stint owning the function end-to-end (not just executing). • Hands-on operating experience with an enterprise omnichannel platform — Maestra strongly preferred; Braze, Iterable, Customer.io , or Klaviyo also relevant. • Real, hands-on experience launching SMS as a marketing channel in the US (TCPA, A2P 10DLC, carrier compliance — not "I worked with a vendor who handled it"). • Real, hands-on experience launching web push and measuring its lift. • SQL good enough to pull your own segments and validate your own data. • A subscription-business orientation: you think in LTV/payer, payback period, retention curves, and cohorts — not in opens and clicks. • A track record of measurable incremental revenue from CRM, ideally validated through holdout. • Bias toward …
