Marketing Operations Manager

ABOUT PLEO Messy spend management is tricky business. And tedious processes are a lose-lose situation for all involved, not just finance. At Pleo, we're changing that. We build spend solutions that make managing money seamless, empowering, and surprisingly effective for finance teams and employees alike - with a vision to help all businesses ‘go beyond’. The word ‘Pleo’ actually means ‘more than you’d expect’, and living by that mantra has been the secret to our success over the last 10 years. Now, we’re at a pivotal moment in our journey; every move we make has a direct impact on our 40,000+ customers, our business, and our collective success. We need people who take pride in uncovering customer needs, who turn complex problems into simple solutions, challenge the way things are done (respectfully), and always aim high. With great ambitions driving us forward, we can’t say we’ve got this whole thing figured out. And frankly, that’s half the fun! What we can say is that we’re a driven, progressive, and, importantly, a kind bunch of 850+ people from over 100 nationalities, all committed to delivering the future of business spending, together. ABOUT THE ROLE We're looking for a Marketing Operations Manager to join our Marketing Operations, RevOps team at Pleo. In this role, you'll help build the operational infrastructure needed to support our upmarket expansion into Mid-Market and Enterprise segments and be part of our Marketing Ops team as we scale our spend management platform across growth companies in Europe. If you're excited about designing account-based go-to-market systems, establishing AI enablement across operational workflows, and solving complex cross-functional challenges, and are passionate about marketing operations, RevOps, and systems architecture, then this is the opportunity for you! WHO YOU’LL BE WORKING WITH AND REPORTING TO You’ll report to our Associate Director, Marketing Operations and work closely with teams in Marketing Operations, RevOps, and Sales Ops. Our team is highly collaborative and dedicated to powering how the marketing team runs—from campaign operations and reporting cadence through to AI adoption and process improvement. You’ll also have the chance to partner with teams across Data, BAT (Business Automation & Tools), CX Ops, and Engineering to ensure success and maintain a single account truth across systems. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING As a Marketing Operations Manager, you will: • Build and refine marketing operational frameworks – Lead initiatives to continuously improve campaign workflows, request intake, approval processes, team governance, MQLMQA routing logic, and SDR/BDR handoff processes. • Own account intelligence and reporting cadence – Design account scoring models for Mid-Market and Enterprise, maintain executive dashboards, integrate intent/firmographic/behavioral signals into segmentation, and manage account assignment logic. • Drive AI adoption across Marketing Ops – Translate AI capabilities into operational reality by building processes, governance, and enablement that accelerate execution and scale output within the team. • Ensure tooling health and systems ownership – Manage HubSpot workflows, automations, and integrations while coordinating with BAT and Engineering on tech stack builds, QA standards, and enterprise tooling requirements. • Enable team capabilities and documentation habits – Upskill Marketing and Marketing Ops teammates through shared standards, QA checklists, repeatable guides, templates, and onboarding resources to raise the operational floor. WHAT YOU BRING You’ll thrive in this role if you have: • HubSpot Fluency – A solid understanding of designing workflows, routing logic, and automation in HubSpot, including its limitations and when to extend outside the platform. • Account Operations Mindset – Track record of building ABM operational processes, MQL-to-MQA scoring rules, multi-stakeholder buying committee motions, and AI/automation adoption that sticks. • Sales Ops Partnership – Ability to collaborate seamlessly with Sales Ops on account strategy, territory strategy, handoff logic, and rep productivity without jargon. • Data & Documentation Habits – Excellent habits in building auditable specs, validating data quality, and diagnosing root causes in data flows alongside Data and BAT teams. • Experience with multi-touch attribution modeling, lifecycle marketing operations (nurture flows, recycling, engagement scoring), and ABM platforms / account intelligence tools. • A background in seeing a company move upmarket to Mid-Market/Enterprise and building scalable, long-term GTM operations. WHY IS THIS ROLE A GOOD FIT FOR YOU This role is a good fit for you if: • You are an operational thinker who naturally designs sustainable systems, governance, and frameworks rather than executing quick-fix tasks. • You love working cross-functionally across Marketing, Sales Ops, and Data teams …

What we can say is that we’re a driven, progressive, and, importantly, a kind bunch of 850+ people from over 100 nationalities, all committed to delivering the future of business spending, together. About the role Pleo's Intelligence function covers the full analytical picture - product behaviour, GTM performance, commercial data science, financial reporting, and operational intelligence. The Analytics Engineers who serve these teams own the data modelling layer that all of it runs on: dbt models, metric definitions, and semantic layer contributions that analysts, product teams, and AI tools depend on to get consistent, trustworthy answers. You'll be embedded in the Product Intelligence team, building the tracking, experimentation, and data modelling foundations that make product data trustworthy and self-serve. You'll join a close-knit team actively migrating our analytics stack onto a new Analytics Warehouse and Omni, moving off legacy tools like Looker and Hippocampus. If you want to build the infrastructure that other people's product decisions run on rather than just report on what exists, this is the opportunity for you. Who you'll work with and reporting to You will report to an Analytics Manager leading Product Intelligence and Growth Intelligence. You'll partner closely with Product Managers, Product Analysts, and Engineering to get tracking, experimentation, and metric definitions right from the ground up. You'll also engage with the broader Analytics Engineering community across Pleo to drive shared standards, especially around the semantic layer that keeps metrics consistent across the organization. What you'll be doing • Build and maintain dbt models in our new Analytics Warehouse, using a clean, layered architecture and migrating logic off legacy tools as you go. • Own tracking plan implementation and QA directly in Segment and Amplitude in close partnership with Product and Engineering. • Support experimentation by modelling assignment and outcome data into structured formats that analysts and PMs can query directly. • Define and document metrics in our semantic layer, ensuring a single authoritative definition so downstream BI tools and AI applications yield consistent answers. • Apply AI-augmented data modelling practices as a standard part of how you write, review, and migrate code. • Partner with Product Managers and Analysts to turn one-off questions into durable, reusable data models. • Maintain data quality in your domain through dbt tests, freshness SLAs, and proactive monitoring. What you bring • Solid SQL and dbt experience, with a clear comfort owning models end to end. • Working knowledge of event-based tracking tools like Segment or Amplitude. • Experience with Git-based development workflows, including opening and reviewing pull requests. • Clear communication skills to explain data definitions and structures to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Genuine day-to-day use of AI tooling as part of your standard coding and workflow routine. • Comfort navigating ambiguity and untangling legacy logic to build modern foundations. This role is NOT a good fit if • You only want to write dashboards without touching or owning the underlying data models. • You require rigid processes and heavy upfront structure before taking initiative. • You prefer to avoid data migration, cleanup work, and legacy system refactoring. Your first 6 months • Ramp up: Master our dbt project structure, tracking plans, and migration roadmap while shipping small, reviewed code changes early on. • Take ownership: Own a dedicated slice of the migration, such as an event domain or our core experimentation data models. • Drive consistency: Establish semantic layer definitions for your domain so analysts and PMs can self-serve accurate metrics without custom workarounds. Our tech stack context • Data warehouse: GCP / BigQuery (new Analytics Warehouse) • Transformation: dbt • Orchestration: …

This is not a traditional Fraud Operations case-handling role. You will work closer to the decisioning layer: helping translate fraud patterns into rules, monitoring rule performance, supporting rule testing, reviewing alert behaviour, and making sure fraud controls remain effective, explainable, and proportionate. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR We are looking for someone who combines fraud domain knowledge with practical experience working in a decisioning environment. You should have: • Experience as a Fraud Analyst, Risk Analyst, Fraud Strategy Analyst, Fraud Rules Analyst, Decisioning Analyst, or similar. • Hands-on experience with a decisioning tool, fraud rules engine, risk platform, or internal decisioning system. • Experience creating, testing, monitoring, or tuning fraud rules, thresholds, scenarios, or risk logic. • Strong analytical skills and comfort working with data to assess rule performance and fraud patterns. • Good understanding of fraud typologies, especially card fraud, transaction fraud, account misuse, or payment fraud. • Ability to balance fraud prevention with customer impact and operational workload. • Experience working with false positives and understanding that good fraud controls require continuous monitoring and tuning. • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to explain rule logic, rationale, risks, and expected outcomes clearly. • Comfort working cross-functionally with FraudOps, Product, Engineering, Compliance, and Data teams. • A structured mindset and appreciation for documentation, traceability, governance, and change control. • Fintech, banking, payments, spend management, or regulated financial services. • SQL or basic data analysis. Senior Financial Systems Architect - Workday

Remote ✓
A

Hi! We are AMBOSS and we are looking for a Financial Systems Architect to join our team, and shape the future of medical education with us! About AMBOSS AMBOSS is a dynamic learning and clinical decision support tool committed to empowering medical professionals globally to deliver optimal care. Since our inception in 2012, we've harnessed cutting-edge technology to transform the way physicians acquire and apply scientific knowledge. Each AMBOSSian is passionate about being the champion of clinicians today - this motivates and unites us each day towards success. And what does success look like? When a clinician or med student tells us, “AMBOSS makes practicing medicine easier and enjoyable. I love what I do, and a big part is because of AMBOSS.” Want to learn more about our culture? Watch our video https://youtu.be/gTPDn5XpeJg to explore what makes us unique. WHY SYSTEMS AT AMBOSS? AMBOSS runs on a growing landscape of business systems: Workday as the ERP at the center, connected to Stripe, HubSpot, Pleo, Avalara, our banks, payroll and archiving. The Systems team, part of Data & Systems, makes this landscape develop as a whole: every problem solved in the system where it belongs, and processes that run smoothly from order to cash and from purchase to payment. Our expertise is platform-independent: accounting logic, process design, integration patterns and systems thinking. Working side by side with Finance, Accounting, Commercial, Data and IT, we support AMBOSS in pursuing its mission: empowering medical professionals worldwide to provide the best possible care. WHY CAN THIS POSITION BE EXCITING FOR YOU? You are the technical owner of Workday Financials at AMBOSS: you take the tenant over from our implementation partner and run it. Some days that means a configuration fix before the close, other days the design of a new integration or the assessment of a new module. You are the expert and advisor for everything Workday. Our Business Systems Manager owns the roadmap, stakeholder coordination and partner management and works with you day to day. This is a senior individual contributor role: you build and own Workday the way a senior engineer owns a production system. It is not an administrator role with a ticket queue. WHERE WE ARE Workday Financials goes live in November 2026 as our ERP for three entities in Germany, the US and Italy. Around twelve integrations connect it to the rest of the landscape, and they are the most demanding part of it. You join during hypercare and the first closes in Workday, with the first year-end close and statutory audit ahead. YOU WILL: • Own the tenant technically. Configuration and business processes across record-to-report (General Ledger), procure-to-pay (Accounts Payable), order-to-cash (Accounts Receivable) and bank connectivity (Banking & Settlement), the security model and the financial data model. • Take over from the implementation partner. Review, document and harden what was delivered, close the gaps and bring run responsibility in-house as early as possible after go-live. Where we still use consultants, you set the technical standard and review their work. • Own the Workday side of every integration. Design and build the EIBs, Core Connectors, Studio integrations, web services and RaaS reports behind each interface and agree the interface contracts with our Data Platform engineers, who build and run the pipelines around the tenant. • Advise Accounting and Finance. Translate requirements into system design, say clearly what Workday can and cannot do and advise where in the landscape a problem is best solved. • Run it like a production system. Tier 2/3 support with root-cause fixes, testing discipline (unit, regression, UAT), the two Workday releases a year and a change log with configuration documentation. You enable the accounting stream leads who handle first-line questions. • Build the reports, dashboards and calculated fields that Finance and leadership rely on, and make them self-serve where possible. • Be the technical expert on expansions. HCM, treasury, automated VAT reporting and global payroll off DATEV: assess feasibility, design the solution and configure it. YOU BRING: • Workday Financials depth. 5+ years hands-on, including at least one full implementation and the post-go-live ownership of a tenant (hypercare, first closes, releases). • Configuration expertise. Core modules (GL, AP, AR, Banking & Settlement), the business process framework, configurable security and the financial data model (FDM, worktags). • Reporting. Custom and matrix reports, calculated fields and BIRT. • Systems thinking. Experience connecting SaaS business systems (APIs, integration patterns) and the habit of thinking in end-to-end processes across tools. • Accounting understanding. Chart of accounts, period close, reconciliations and audit requirements. • Engineering mindset. Structured troubleshooting to the root cause, …

Finance Operations Lead

What you're actually taking on Four entities. Three currencies. $5M+ moving monthly. Ad accounts funded daily across GBP and AED. Revenue flowing from Whop into UAE structures. A payment infrastructure mid-transition. An external bookkeeping partner who needs managing to a standard. The finance function works. It just works with too many manual steps, too much chasing, and not enough visibility for the people running the business. Your job is to close that gap — clean systems, automated where possible, visible at a glance. WHAT YOU'LL OWN Cash flow and treasury • Own the daily cash cycle across all entities • Manage high-volume USD revenue from Whop into UAE accounts • Fund GBP/AED corporate cards for Meta ad spend daily — ad accounts don't pause on your watch • Build a live cash position view the founding team can read without asking Payment infrastructure • Lead the migration from Pleo/UK setup to Qashio (UAE-native) • Evaluate Whop's virtual card platform for automated Meta spend • Remove manual card-topping entirely — tracked, reconciled, automated Systems and reporting • Audit every manual process; automate what repeats • Build SOPs across cash, payments, refunds, reconciliation; make sure they're followed • Manage Emifast (external bookkeeping) on accuracy and timeliness across Xero • Deliver a weekly cash and P&L view in five bullet points, not twenty tabs Requirements Who you are You've run finance in a real operational environment — high transaction volume, multiple currencies, entities that each have their own quirks. You use AI tools in your day-to-day (seriously, not as a buzzword). You build systems rather than spreadsheets. You flag problems before they become escalations. You don't need to be chased. You're probably not looking aggressively. You're in a role that works fine but doesn't stretch you, or one where the complexity was real but the scope wasn't. Requirements • 7+ years in finance operations, treasury, or hands-on senior finance • Multi-currency, multi-entity experience at genuine transaction volume • Systems builder — SOPs, automations, process design • Xero, Wise, corporate card platforms (Pleo, Qashio or similar) • Actively uses AI in finance reporting or operations • Experience managing external bookkeeping or accounting partners Highly desirable • UAE / DMCC entity experience • Performance marketing or high ad-spend environment • CIMA, ACCA, or CA qualified Benefits What you get • Direct line to founders — no layers, no politics • Real operational complexity from day one • Fully remote, contractor agreement • Scope that grows with what you build
