About ElevenLabs ElevenLabs is an AI research and product company transforming how we interact with technology. We launched in January 2023 with the first human-like AI voice model. Today, we serve millions of users and thousands of businesses - from fast-growing startups to large enterprises like Deutsche Telekom and Meta. Our investors are some of the world's most prominent, including Andreessen Horowitz, ICONIQ Growth and Sequoia. We've raised $781M in funding and our last valuation was $22B - multiples of 11, always. We have expanded from voice into three main platforms: • ElevenAgents enables businesses to deliver seamless and intelligent customer experiences, with the integrations, testing, monitoring, and reliability necessary to deploy voice and chat agents at scale. • ElevenCreative empowers creators and marketers to generate and edit speech, music, image, and video across 70+ languages. • ElevenAPI gives developers access to our leading AI audio foundational models. Everything we do is the result of the creativity and commitment of our team - builders doing the best work of their lives. We are researchers, engineers, and operators. IOI medalists and ex-founders. If you want to work hard and create lasting positive impact, we want to hear from you. How we work • High-velocity: Rapid experimentation, lean autonomous teams, and minimal bureaucracy. • Impact not job titles: We don’t have job titles. Instead, it’s about the impact you have. No task is above or beneath you. • AI first: We use AI to move faster with higher-quality results. We do this across the whole company—from engineering to growth to operations. • Excellence everywhere: Everything we do should match the quality of our AI models. • Global team: We prioritize your talent, not your location. We operate across 46+ countries, with a highly distributed workforce spanning researchers, engineers, GTM teams, operators, creatives, and frontier AI specialists. Compensation and total rewards are core to how we attract and retain the best builders in the world. This environment is inherently complex. Different regulatory frameworks. Different talent markets. Different role archetypes. High volatility in frontier AI compensation benchmarks. That complexity is not a constraint, it’s the challenge. We are looking for someone to own and evolve our global compensation and total rewards strategy, designing systems that are competitive in frontier AI markets, internally consistent, globally scalable, and built for long-term sustainability. You will operate as the single point of accountability for compensation architecture across the company, partnering closely with Operations, Legal and Finance. Senior Desktop Engineer (Electron.js)

Remote ✓

ABOUT US Ruby Labs is a leading tech company that creates and operates innovative consumer products. We offer a diverse range of opportunities across the health, education, and entertainment industries. Our innovative teams are driving the future of consumer-led products, and we're always looking for passionate individuals to join us. Learn more about our story at: https://rubylabs.com/about-us/ ABOUT THE ROLE At Ruby Labs, we are looking for a Senior Desktop Engineer to own and drive a new cross-platform desktop product from first commit to production. This is a high-ownership role with an unusually deep systems component. The application is not a wrapped web app: it captures system and microphone audio in real time, renders an always-on-top overlay across the user's workspace, registers global shortcuts, and integrates with the operating system at a level that requires native code on both macOS and Windows. Our architecture is Electron for the application and UI layer, with native modules and helper processes in Swift and C++ where the platform requires it. You will own that boundary, deciding what belongs in TypeScript, what belongs in native code, and making the two halves behave as one reliable product. You will also own everything that happens after the build: code signing, notarization, entitlements, permission onboarding, auto-update, and crash reporting. On this product, those are not an afterthought; they are a significant share of the engineering work, and getting them wrong is what stops users from ever running the app. You will operate as the senior technical voice for desktop within your team, setting the engineering standard for the platform. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES DESKTOP APPLICATION & ENGINEERING QUALITY • Own the Electron architecture end to end — main, renderer and helper processes, IPC design, context isolation, process lifecycle — and deliver major features within agreed timelines. • Build transparent, frameless, always-on-top overlay windows that behave correctly across full-screen spaces, multiple displays and mixed-DPI setups, alongside global shortcuts, tray presence and low-latency UI under continuous background load. • Design a clean platform abstraction in TypeScript so the macOS and Windows implementations stay isolated and independently testable, and write idiomatic Swift and C++ in the native layer. • Keep the product reliable: defensive handling of unstable platform APIs, tests and code reviews, performance, memory and battery budgets, and remediation of security-review and penetration-test findings within agreed severity SLAs. NATIVE PLATFORM INTEGRATION • Build and maintain the native layer: Node addons (N-API / node-addon-api) and out-of-process helpers in Swift and C++. • Implement real-time system audio capture — Core Audio process taps and ScreenCaptureKit on macOS, WASAPI loopback on Windows — including device change handling, format negotiation and graceful recovery from driver-level failures. • Integrate with the Accessibility API (AXUIElement) on macOS and UI Automation on Windows to read application context reliably. • Own the IPC protocol and lifecycle between Electron and the native helpers, and keep the application working as Apple and Microsoft change their platforms. DISTRIBUTION, PERMISSIONS & RELEASE RELIABILITY • Own code signing and notarization on macOS — hardened runtime, entitlements, nested binary signing, provisioning profiles — and Authenticode signing, SmartScreen reputation and antivirus false positives on Windows. • Design the permission onboarding flow — microphone, system audio, screen recording, accessibility — so that grant rates stay high and failure states are recoverable. • Build and maintain the release pipeline: CI matrix builds, signing from CI with HSM-backed certificates, auto-update, staged rollout and rollback. • Own crash reporting and production telemetry for the desktop client, and act on what it tells you. QUALIFICATIONS • 6+ years of software engineering experience, including production-grade TypeScript/Node.js. • 3+ years building and shipping Electron applications to real end users, not internal tools or proofs of concept. • Hands-on native macOS development in Swift and/or Objective-C, with AppKit and at least one system-level framework such as Core Audio, AVFoundation, ScreenCaptureKit, or the Accessibility API. • Practical experience writing native Node addons (N-API / node-addon-api) or bundling and communicating with out-of-process native helpers. • Demonstrated experience with macOS code signing, notarization, entitlements, and the TCC permission model — you have debugged a rejected notarization and know how to read the log. • Working knowledge of the Windows desktop platform: Win32 APIs, Authenticode signing, and the practical realities of SmartScreen and antivirus reputation. • Strong grasp of multi-process architecture, IPC, and debugging issues that only …

The AI orchestration of your wildest imagination. n8n is the open workflow orchestration platform built for the new era of AI. We give technical teams the freedom of code with the speed of no-code, so they can automate faster, smarter, and without limits. Backed by a fiercely inventive community and 500+ builder-approved integrations, we’re changing the way people bring systems together and scale ideas for impact. Since our founding in 2019, we’ve grown into a diverse team of over 260 - working across Europe and the US, connected by a shared builder spirit and with our centre of gravity in Berlin. Along the way, we’ve: • Cultivated a community of more than 650,000 active developers and builders • Earned 190K+ GitHub stars, making us one of the world’s Top 40 most popular projects • Backed by top investors, from Sequoia’s first German seed to our SAP's recent strategic investment - bringing us to a $5.2bn valuation That’s the company we’ve built. Now we’d love to see what you can build. If you’re applying, try n8n out - whether you’re technical or not - and share a screenshot of your first workflow with us. The easiest place to start is here: app.n8n.cloud/register http://app.n8n.cloud/register. We’re in a defining moment of an incredible journey. Come and build with us. Your main goal will be to empower n8n enterprise users to treat automation as software, enabling them to develop, deploy, and scale mission-critical workflows with absolute confidence. To do so, you’ll own product strategy and execution for n8n’s Enterprise team, focused on application lifecycle management, developer tools, and production-grade workflow operations: WORKFLOW LIFECYCLE MANAGEMENT • Define how teams move workflows from development to production with clear environment separation and promotion paths. • Shape capabilities for workflow version history, rollback, branching, and conflict resolution. • Build product experiences that help engineering teams safely manage changes across mission-critical automations. ENTERPRISE DEVELOPER EXPERIENCE • Own Git-based source control workflows that make n8n fit naturally into modern software development practices. • Work closely with Engineering and Design to deliver powerful yet intuitive tools for technical teams. • Translate complex developer workflows into product experiences that feel reliable, scalable, and easy to adopt. PRODUCTION OPERATIONS AND OBSERVABILITY • Build visibility into workflow performance, usage, and reliability across environments and instances. • Define how enterprise teams manage external secrets, variables, and configuration across deployments. • Help customers operate n8n at scale through multi-instance management and cross-instance visibility. PRODUCT DISCOVERY AND CROSS-FUNCTIONAL LEADERSHIP • Deeply engage with enterprise customers, engineering leaders, admins, and developers to understand their software delivery needs. • Prioritize ruthlessly across technical depth, usability, enterprise readiness, and long-term platform leverage. • Align Engineering, Design, Sales, Solutions Engineering, Customer Success, and leadership through clear strategy, specs, and communication. REQUIREMENTS MUST-HAVES • Proven product management experience: You’ve shipped complex technical products in enterprise environments and can point to lessons learned that shaped your craft. • Strong developer empathy: You understand how engineering teams build, test, version, deploy, and operate software in production. • Thrive in ambiguity: You bring structure to fuzzy technical problems and prioritize clearly across many possible directions. • Exceptional product sense: You anticipate edge cases, second-order effects, and enterprise-grade reliability needs without needing perfect information. • Ownership and bias for action: You fix what’s broken, ship, learn, and iterate rather than over-plan. • Influence without authority: You align engineering, design, data, sales, solutions engineering, customer success, and docs through clarity and trust. • Technical product judgment: You’re comfortable making tradeoffs across usability, scalability, security, reliability, and implementation complexity. NICE-TO-HAVES • Git and source control experience: You’ve worked on or closely with products involving Git, branching, versioning, pull requests, or conflict resolution. • Enterprise security experience: You understand secrets management, environment variables, access control, or secure configuration patterns. • Observability experience: You’ve worked on products involving monitoring, usage insights, performance visibility, or operational dashboards. • Coding or SQL skills: You can code, write SQL, or go deep enough technically to partner effectively with engineers on architecture-level discussions. • Remote work experience: You’re familiar with remote-first work environments and can …

Your main goal will be to make it simple and reliable for customers to buy, pay for, and grow their use of n8n. You'll own the foundations of how n8n's commercial system works: licensing and entitlements, customer accounts, and the metering and billing platform for both Cloud and Enterprise. Today these live across several teams and two billing stacks; you'll bring them into one stable home that the rest of the company builds on. This is a foundations role. You build the system that pricing and packaging decisions run on, rather than running price experiments yourself. To do so, here are your core responsibilities: OWN THE LICENSING & BILLING STRATEGY & ROADMAP • Define and communicate the product strategy and roadmap for Licensing & Billing in partnership with Engineering, Product leadership, Finance, and go-to-market. • Prioritize foundational investments based on revenue integrity, enterprise needs, data correctness, and engineering effort, and make trade-offs explicit. • Lead discovery with enterprise customers, Sales, Customer Success, Finance, and RevOps to understand how n8n is bought, renewed, and grown today, and where that breaks. LICENSING, ENTITLEMENTS & ACCOUNTS • Own the license server and entitlement model: issuance, renewal, and validation across Cloud, self-hosted, air-gapped, and OEM deployments, with one source of truth for which plan or deal grants which features. • Introduce "account" as a first-class product primitive (accounts, purchases, license keys, activations) and expose it as the API contract our customer-facing console and multi-instance management are built on. • Productize the deal-to-entitlement flow so a closed deal in Salesforce creates or updates entitlements without manual steps. METERING & BILLING PLATFORM • Own usage metering and billing for Cloud and Enterprise, including subscription billing: what counts as a billable execution, quota consumption, and overage charging. • Lead the migration off Paddle Classic and unify Cloud and Enterprise billing into one platform. • Build the mechanics for usage-based enterprise billing and reliable overage charging. CROSS-ORG ALIGNMENT • Make the architecture and mechanism decisions (entitlement model, billing platform, enterprise invoicing path) and align closely with Finance and go-to-market on each of them. Every decision here touches money; you bring people along rather than inform them afterwards. • Hold clear boundaries with adjacent teams: the customer console, execution limits, and access control live elsewhere; you own the data and mechanics they rely on. • Establish clear success measures and keep the squad accountable for outcomes, not only delivery. REQUIREMENTS Must-haves • Billing or licensing product experience: You have 6+ years in Product, with a substantial part spent owning a billing, licensing, entitlement, or quote-to-cash system at a B2B SaaS company. • Shipped through Finance and RevOps: You've driven a cross-functional systems change where Finance, Sales Ops, and Engineering all had a say, and you got it live. • Systems and data-model depth: You can design or critique an entity model, reason about reconciliation and idempotency in a sync, read an API contract, and explain why two systems reading the same events end up with different numbers. • Attention to detail: You know that if the billing data is wrong, everything built on it inherits the error, and you sequence work accordingly. • Prioritization under ambiguity: You make trade-offs explicit and connect foundational or data-quality work to commercial outcomes. • Ownership and autonomy: You grab problems without …
