We’re backed by investors including KKR, FTV Capital, Kindred, Notion, and 83North and serve over 10,000 software sellers in 245 territories globally. The role: Paddle's FP&A team is at an exciting inflection point. We've built the foundations of our planning infrastructure, and are looking to scale our impact across the business. As a Sr. FP&A Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between financial insight and commercial execution, reporting into the Director of FP&A. You'll partner with business leaders to translate Paddle's complex transaction-based business model into clear strategic recommendations that drive profitable growth and investment efficiency, becoming the interface between finance and the business. This role offers the perfect blend of commercial influence and hands-on impact, with opportunities to shape major business decisions while building the next evolution of FP&A capability at Paddle. What you'll do: • Commercial Finance & Business Partnering • Build financial partnerships with key stakeholders across the business (e.g. GTM, Operations), becoming a trusted advisor to senior leaders on resource allocation, commercial strategy and investment optimisation for Marketing and Product decisions. • Drive insights from Paddle's key metrics (GMV, take rate, CAC, LTV, NRR, churn) into actionable recommendations that influence business direction. • Leverage finance insights to inform finance and business leadership of important risks and opportunities. • Support business case development for strategic initiatives such as pricing strategy, market/ product expansion and or new launches. • Partner with the Director of FP&A and the VP of Finance to support board-level reporting and strategic narratives. • Forecasting & Analysis • Support the evolution of Paddle’s planning models to bridge financial targets with operational execution, enabling our leadership team to translate cross functional insights into faster and better-informed strategic decisions. • Build and deliver management reporting and dashboards that cut through complexity—ensuring finance insights and recommendations are timely, focused, and decision-oriented. • Develop deep expertise in Paddle's transaction-based revenue model, bringing visibility to performance across customer segments, geographies, and products. • Identify opportunities to optimize unit economics and improve capital efficiency across the business. • Team Development • Bring fresh perspectives to our KPI framework and support the team in building commercial fluency. • Contribute to building a high-performing, high-EQ FP&A culture that values clarity, ownership, and collaboration. We strive for a high-impact, low-ego culture. • Represent FP&A in cross-functional projects, championing data-driven decision-making across the organization. We'd love to hear from you if you: • Commercially astute and strategically minded - you can connect financial data to business outcomes, and you're energized by influencing commercial strategy, not just reporting on it. • An exceptional business partner - established in stakeholder management, you can translate complex financial concepts into simple, compelling narratives for non-finance audiences and build trusted relationships with senior leaders. • Technically strong in FP&A fundamentals - proficient in financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario planning, ideally with experience in SaaS, payments, or transaction-based business models. • Comfortable with complexity and ambiguity - you thrive in fast-paced scale-up environments where you're flying the plane whilst building it, navigating data quality challenges and evolving tooling (we're re-implementing Pigment). • Looking to develop the way the team and Paddle operates… and develop yourself too in the process. You enjoy mentoring others and building capability across the team. • Detail-oriented with strong executive presence - you balance precision and accuracy with the ability to zoom out and present confidently to C-level stakeholders. • Someone who does what they say, to a very high standard, consistently - you believe that this is how long term trust is built with the business. Head of Data Science

Remote ✓EN

What do we do? Paddle offers digital product companies a completely different approach to their payment infrastructure. Instead of assembling and maintaining a complex stack of payments-related apps and services, we’re a Merchant of Record for our customers. That means we take away 100% of the pain of payment fragmentation. It’s faster, safer, cheaper, and, above all, way better. We’re backed by investors including KKR, FTV Capital, Kindred, Notion, and 83North and serve over 10,000 software sellers in 245 territories globally. The role: We are looking for a Head of Data Science to build Paddle's data science capability from the ground up. Our Merchant of Record model gives us a data position no PSP or billing provider has: subscription and pricing context alongside granular payment-outcome data, across thousands of software businesses. This role exists to turn that into economic value by putting machine learning and agentic systems into production. The mandate is deliberately narrow and deliberately ambitious: data science at Paddle owns automated decisioning inside the product — traditional machine learning and agentic systems alike — not decision-support analytics. We have a long list of candidate opportunities than we can fund, spanning payment performance and revenue recovery, sales and marketing operations, growth and monetisation intelligence, and risk, trust and compliance. We have a working hypothesis about which of these pays back first, and we'll share it — but part of the job in your first quarter is to pressure-test it, size the alternatives yourself, and tell us where to start. This is a founding role, and for the first few quarters it is a building role more than a managing one. You'll be the only person in the function: doing the analysis, engineering the features, training and evaluating the models or agents, taking the first system live with our engineering teams — and then operating it, answerable for its uptime, its drift and its numbers. Once the first use cases are proving out, you'll hire and lead a hub-and-spoke team of data scientists and machine learning engineers embedded across our highest-value business areas. You'll report into the VP of Data and work in close partnership with Product, Payments, Engineering, Risk and Finance. What you'll do: • Prioritise which opportunities have the biggest impact.. Build a value-based use-case backlog across payment performance and revenue recovery, sales and marketing operations, growth and monetisation intelligence, and risk, trust and compliance; size the leading candidates properly; and make the call on sequencing with the relevant Product, Risk, RevOps and Finance stakeholders. This gets refreshed quarterly. • Personally deliver the first system end to end: the analysis and back-test, the features, the model, policy or agent, the deployment, and the shadow and A/B tests that prove it works. Not a spec handed to someone else to build. • Operate what you deploy. Own monitoring, retraining, drift response, incident handling and rollback for live decisioning, alongside the engineering teams whose services call it — and set the expectation that the function runs its systems rather than shipping them. • Work across both traditional ML and agentic systems, and be honest about which a problem actually needs: a propensity or uplift model, a policy of rules, or an agent with tools, evals against golden answer sets and trace-level observability. Several of our strongest candidate use cases point each way. • Build and lead the team — hire senior data scientists embedded in value areas and machine learning engineers in the hub, and set the professional standards, shared methods and reusable components the function runs on. • Establish the production stack alongside Data Platform and Engineering: reproducible training data, code and artefacts; a model registry; inference services with real latency, availability and rollback requirements; historically accurate features where decisions need backdated reconstruction; eval harnesses and trace observability for agentic workflows; and monitoring for data quality, drift, model performance and economic outcomes. Start ad hoc where that's sufficient and platformise once the first use cases have shown what's actually needed. • Own value capture end to end. Shadow-test and A/B test every deployment against the incumbent strategy, translate metric movement into a financial number on a methodology co-signed by Finance, and publish a quarterly report on realised value. • Set the governance model for automated decisioning — proportionate risk assessment, clear ownership, latency and availability requirements, human escalation and rollback — working with Legal, Privacy, Compliance and Risk on GDPR, EU AI Act and payments obligations, and producing the evidence early enough to shape the design. • Define the boundaries and the working relationship with Product Science, Analytics …

Director of Self Serve

THE ROLE Self-serve today represents a meaningful part of Paddle's revenue. This role owns the commercial mandate to grow that significantly. Not just to run self-serve, but to build the strategy for where and how it scales, and execute against it. We're hiring a Director of Self-Serve to take full commercial ownership of Paddle's self-serve motion, running and scaling it as a business line. Self-serve is a material and fast-moving part of our revenue, and it needs an owner who thinks in unit economics, not just funnel metrics. You'll set the strategic direction, and work across Finance, Product, Engineering, Demand Generation, Partnerships, and RevOps to align everyone behind it. Getting this right is a genuinely cross-functional endeavour, and your ability to bring people with you will be just as important as your commercial acumen. You'll operate with a small, focused team including engineering capacity. This is a role for someone who wants to build and run the engine hands on, not manage through layers. WHAT YOU'LL DO Own the line. Carry the commercial number for self-serve end to end, from acquisition through adoption, to revenue and net retention. Own the unit economics, and how they improve. Set the strategy. Form a clear commercial view of where self-serve creates value, ensure Finance and Product alignment, and translate it into a plan the business can execute against. Own activation and time-to-value. Evolve who and how we onboard through self-serve, how we nurture them through lifecycle stages, and the in-product experience that gets them to value fast. Increasing volume while decreasing time-to-value, not trading one for the other. You fundamentally approach the self-serve experience as a product, running structured discovery and experimentation, not defaulting to only marketing levers. Shape the demand. Define the customer profile that makes the economics work and work collaboratively with Demand Generation on the targeting you need, co-owning a single funnel against a shared ICP. Orchestrate cross-functionally. Codify the work into clear streams with clear owners, influence the Product, Engineering, and Risk roadmaps, and run a regular business cadence that keeps people aligned on priorities and impact. Deepen partner integrations. Work hand-in-glove with Partnerships to turn distribution relationships into deep well-integrated channels, owning the commercial outcome of partner-sourced volume. Build and run the engine. Design and run the experimentation, tooling, and tracking to improve funnel codification, time-to-value, activation, and conversion using AI where it raises velocity and quality, applied to the right customer. As the motion scales, you'll shape the team around it. Make the economics stack up. Working closely with finance you own self-serve pricing and packaging as a lever, to ensure profitable scale. HOW YOU OPERATE Go get the answer yourself. When something doesn't add up, you pull the data, run the analysis, and don't wait to be handed a conclusion. Self-reliance is core to how you operate, not a fallback when support isn't available. You interrogate, not just observe. Live the ‘five whys’ principle, with the ability to take a plausible looking number, trend, signal and stress-test it until you've found the actual driver, not the first explanation that fits. You default to hypothesis and experiment before you default to opinion or output, treating the funnel as something to be iteratively shaped, not just optimised within. Given a mission, you don't let go of it. You have a real hunger to find and unlock value you believe is there, working through blockers, organisational, technical, or data. WE'D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU ARE • Deeply experienced in a PLG or self-serve motion in a high-growth tech business, where you've built and owned the funnel rather than a sales-assisted or enterprise motion, and have been accountable for the number, not adjacent to it. • A commercial operator who has owned a revenue line, channel, or segment. Someone who operates in founder mode with the instinct to understand the economics, not just the funnel beneath them. • You think like a product manager: prioritizing ruthlessly, scope experiments tightly, and see the boundary between growth and product as something to work across. • Fluent at moving from data to a commercial conclusion, with the discipline to separate signal from …

Verantwortungsbereich:

Own the line. Carry the commercial number for self-serve end to end, from acquisition through adoption, to revenue and net retention.

Paddle manages payments so that we can take this burden from our customers. We process millions of payments globally and make thousands of payouts across multiple balance currencies every month. We do all this while ensuring we’re applying and remitting taxes accurately in all jurisdictions. As the Engineering Manager of our Subscriptions team, you'll lead the product at the core of Paddle's recurring revenue engine, giving our customers the tools to manage the full subscription lifecycle; from plan changes, upgrades and downgrades to proration, trials and flexible billing schedules. The Engineering Manager role at Paddle is a technical role, although we do not expect you to be contributing code. • Contribute to the role of metrics within the wider data strategy of Paddle • Help to continuously improve the reliability and scalability of Paddle’s high-traffic event-driven system. • Work with our other leaders across Engineering, contributing to the department's engineering principles and practices to build an industry-leading organisation. THE ROLE We're looking for an ambitious Engineering Manager to lead our Application Excellence (AppEx) team, one of two teams in our wider Platform group, alongside SRE. AppEx exists to make Paddle's engineers faster and more effective: improving the internal developer experience, establishing golden paths and best practices, building self-serve tooling, and removing operational friction so product teams can focus on their domains. It's a high-leverage role, your work directly changes how every engineer at Paddle builds and ships. AppEx is also building Paddle's AI software factory: an SDLC where AI agents take on a growing share of the work, from writing code to reviewing it, inside the golden paths, guardrails and quality gates we own. There's a strong appetite for a better developer experience, but the specific path is open: a big part of the job is listening, gathering, and synthesizing feedback, forming a clear diagnosis, and bringing stakeholders with you before you execute. Success depends on alignment as much as delivery. You'll report to the Director of Engineering who looks after the Platform group, a group that acts as a multiplier for the product teams, taking ownership and providing the tooling that lets them keep adding value while spending as little time as possible on operational concerns. TECH STACK • Go for our new services • PHP Laravel for our Classic system • Aurora MySQL and PostgreSQL for persistent data storage • Docker in production and local development • AWS ECS Fargate for our runtime • AWS SQS for asynchronous message queues • AWS EventBridge for our event bus • Redis for key/value store • Terraform for resource management • Honeycomb, SLOs and OpenTelemetry for our observability needs • AI code review and coding agents (e.g. Claude Code, MCP) across the SDLC WHAT YOU'LL DO • Lead the team to deliver initiatives to a high standard, from concept and planning through to rollout, working closely with engineers and stakeholders across the organization. • Own developer productivity and internal developer experience as outcomes you lead. • Shape Paddle's AI software factory: agents working across the SDLC, from ticket to merged PR, with the guardrails, golden paths and quality gates that keep it safe. Measure its impact on cycle time and quality, not just adoption. • Listen across the organization, synthesize feedback, and build buy-in before committing the team to a direction, then own a clear, well-argued roadmap for sustainable impact. • Coordinate across team boundaries, including with SRE, Security, Principal Engineers, and leadership, influencing without relying on authority. • Manage and coach your engineers, enabling their personal and professional growth and high-impact team performance. • Stay hands-on and technically credible, contributing to code and reviews, while focusing on direction, alignment, and unblocking the team. • Oversee the team's technical decisions and contribute to the Platform group's technical strategy. • Look after the team's shared libraries and tools, maintaining code relied upon by dozens of other services, leading its upkeep and safe rollout to benefit the entire engineering organization. • Drive improvements to group processes, developer experience, and the reliability and scalability of a high-traffic, event-driven system, with autonomy to change what isn't working. WE'D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU: • Significant experience as a senior engineer on complex, large-scale, cloud-based systems (Go a plus), including time on Platform or Internal Developer Experience teams • Management experience with several direct reports (2+ years) at at least two places, and a genuine passion for developing people • Excited by and have specific experience building products for internal stakeholders and developers • Excellent at building trust and alignment: gather and synthesise feedback, communicate a clear rationale, and bring people with you before executing; can read a room and adapt • Hold your plans loosely: form strong views from evidence, update them readily with new information, and are comfortable being wrong • Thrive in ambiguity, shaping loosely-defined problems into a clear, sequenced path while still moving at pace • Strong, demonstrable understanding of what makes a high-performing and sustainable engineering team • Proactive and …

WHAT DO WE DO? Paddle offers SaaS companies a completely different approach to their payments infrastructure. Instead of assembling and maintaining a complex stack of payments-related apps and services, we act as a Merchant of Record for our customers. That means we remove 100% of the pain of payments fragmentation. It’s faster, safer, cheaper, and—above all—better. We’re backed by investors including KKR, FTV Capital, Kindred, Notion, and 83North, and we serve over 10,000 software sellers in 245 territories worldwide. THE ROLE Selling online as a software business is a complex process and many components need to work seamlessly to capture revenue and deliver this to sellers. Paddle manages payments and billing, with a best-in-class developer-first approach, so that we can take this burden from our customers. Paddle is a financially-critical system used by a global customer base, processing hundreds of millions of dollars per month, so there is no shortage of interesting challenges. Senior Software Engineers at Paddle are not just programmers, we are problem solvers. We expect engineers to take initiative, as part of a small team, from an initial concept, scoping, implementation, right through to rollout and ongoing ownership. This requires initiative, creative thinking, and clear communication, as well as strong technical ability. We often work with a range of other teams including Data/Analytics, Infosec, Platform (SRE), Risk, Finance and many other product teams other than your own. You will collaborate alongside other engineers, product designers, data analysts, and legal and finance experts to have real impact. This is an opportunity for someone who wants to be part of something challenging and transformative, someone who will play a critical role in driving our success. WHAT YOU’LL DO • Design, build, and maintain high-throughput, highly reliable systems that power core Paddle capabilities. • Lead the implementation of key new features to a high standard from initial concept and planning right through to monitoring and ongoing improvement. Ensuring systems are built with correctness and precision. • Architect solutions that scale with growing transaction volumes and customers. • Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and set a high bar for code quality and engineering standards. • Lead design discussions and architecture decisions, balancing short-term delivery with long-term sustainability. • Work closely with Product Managers, Designers, Data, Risk, and Operations to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions. • Shape product direction by providing technical insights, trade-offs, and delivery estimates. • Partner with Customer Support or Operations teams to investigate and resolve production issues. • Level-up the team’s engineering practices through mentoring other engineers, and by leading the technical planning of team initiatives. • Act as a force multiplier by driving best practices and long-term decisions for our engineering community. • Contribute to shaping our team and wider engineering culture to ensure Paddle remains an exceptional place to work. WE’D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE • You have a development background with Go. • You have experience designing and building systems to handle high traffic at scale in a cloud-based environment in AWS. • You enjoy collaborating with our technical and non-technical departments. • You proactively find ways to improve the code and team processes • You have a strong understanding of the development process - from design through to deployment, maintenance, and what that means for day-to-day development • A strong understanding of API principles and best practices. • A proven track record of bias for action and strong customer focus. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, you should be comfortable working alongside both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Proven success working with complex problems and ambiguity, maintaining high standards while balancing progression and perfection. EVERYONE IS WELCOME AT PADDLE At Paddle, we’re committed to removing invisible barriers, both for our customers and within our own teams. We recognise and celebrate that every Paddler is unique and we welcome every individual perspective. As an inclusive employer, we don’t care if, or where, you studied, what you look like or where you’re from. We’re more interested in your craft, curiosity, passion for learning and what you’ll add to our culture. We encourage you to apply even if you don’t match every part of the job ad, especially if you’re part of an underrepresented group. Please let us know if there’s anything we can do to better support you through the application process and in the workplace. We will do everything we can to support any accommodations needed. The AI orchestration of your wildest imagination. n8n is the open workflow orchestration platform built for the new era of AI. We give technical teams the freedom of code with the speed of no-code, so they can automate faster, smarter, and without limits. Backed by a fiercely inventive community and 500+ builder-approved integrations, we’re changing the way people bring systems together and scale ideas for impact. Since our founding in 2019, we’ve grown into a diverse team of over 260 - working across Europe and the US, connected by a shared builder spirit and with our centre of gravity in Berlin. Along the way, we’ve: • Cultivated a community of more than 650,000 active developers and builders • Earned 190K+ GitHub stars, making us one of the world’s Top 40 most popular projects • Backed by top investors, from Sequoia’s first German seed to our SAP's recent strategic investment - bringing us to a $5.2bn valuation That’s the company we’ve built. Now we’d love to see what you can build. If you’re applying, try n8n out - whether you’re technical or not - and share a screenshot of your first workflow with us. The easiest place to start is here: app.n8n.cloud/register http://app.n8n.cloud/register. We’re in a defining moment of an incredible journey. Come and build with us. Your main goal will be to make it simple and reliable for customers to buy, pay for, and grow their use of n8n. You'll own the foundations of how n8n's commercial system works: licensing and entitlements, customer accounts, and the metering and billing platform for both Cloud and Enterprise. Today these live across several teams and two billing stacks; you'll bring them into one stable home that the rest of the company builds on. This is a foundations role. You build the system that pricing and packaging decisions run on, rather than running price experiments yourself. To do so, here are your core responsibilities: OWN THE LICENSING & BILLING STRATEGY & ROADMAP • Define and communicate the product strategy and roadmap for Licensing & Billing in partnership with Engineering, Product leadership, Finance, and go-to-market. • Prioritize foundational investments based on revenue integrity, enterprise needs, data correctness, and engineering effort, and make trade-offs explicit. • Lead discovery with enterprise customers, Sales, Customer Success, Finance, and RevOps to understand how n8n is bought, renewed, and grown today, and where that breaks. LICENSING, ENTITLEMENTS & ACCOUNTS • Own the license server and entitlement model: issuance, renewal, and validation across Cloud, self-hosted, air-gapped, and OEM deployments, with one source of truth for which plan or deal grants which features. • Introduce "account" as a first-class product primitive (accounts, purchases, license keys, activations) and expose it as the API contract our customer-facing console and multi-instance management are built on. • Productize the deal-to-entitlement flow so a closed deal in Salesforce creates or updates entitlements without manual steps. METERING & BILLING PLATFORM • Own usage metering and billing for Cloud and Enterprise, including subscription billing: what counts as a billable execution, quota consumption, and overage charging. • Lead the migration off Paddle Classic and unify Cloud and Enterprise billing into one platform. • Build the mechanics for usage-based enterprise billing and reliable overage charging. CROSS-ORG ALIGNMENT • Make the architecture and mechanism decisions (entitlement model, billing platform, enterprise invoicing path) and align closely with Finance and go-to-market on each of them. Every decision here touches money; you bring people along rather than inform them afterwards. • Hold clear boundaries with adjacent teams: the customer console, execution limits, and access control live elsewhere; you own the data and mechanics they rely on. • Establish clear success measures and keep the squad accountable for outcomes, not only delivery. REQUIREMENTS Must-haves • Billing or licensing product experience: You have 6+ years in Product, with a substantial part spent owning a billing, licensing, entitlement, or quote-to-cash system at a B2B SaaS company. • Shipped through Finance and RevOps: You've driven a cross-functional systems change where Finance, Sales Ops, and Engineering all had a say, and you got it live. • Systems and data-model depth: You can design or critique an entity model, reason about reconciliation and idempotency in a sync, read an API contract, and explain why two systems reading the same events end up with different numbers. • Attention to detail: You know that if the billing data is wrong, everything built on it inherits the error, and you sequence work accordingly. • Prioritization under ambiguity: You make trade-offs explicit and connect foundational or data-quality work to commercial outcomes. • Ownership and autonomy: You grab problems without …

Senior Backend Engineer

We are toogeza, a Ukrainian recruiting company that is focused on hiring talents and building teams for tech startups worldwide. People make a difference in the big game, we may help to find the right ones. Currently, we are looking for Senior Backend Engineer for Elva. Location: Remote Job Type: Full-Time ABOUT THE PRODUCT: We’re building an AI-driven video production platform that transforms ideas, references, and media fragments into structured video content. The product uses a multi-agent AI system to handle different stages of the creative process — from content analysis and scripting to editing and video production. It is designed for both professional creators and everyday users, allowing them to go from an initial concept to a finished video with significantly less manual work. ABOUT THE ROLE: We’re looking for an engineer who will help build and scale the core AI infrastructure behind the product. You’ll work on LLM-powered workflows, multi-agent systems, integrations, and backend services that turn user inputs into reliable production pipelines. The role combines hands-on engineering with architectural ownership: designing how agents interact, improving system reliability and performance, and experimenting with new AI capabilities. You’ll work closely with the product team and have significant influence over both the technical architecture and the quality of the final user experience. Our stack: • Python 3.12, FastAPI, Pydantic, SQLAlchemy 2.0 (async, asyncpg), Alembic • PostgreSQL (Cloud SQL) • Google Cloud: GKE (Kubernetes + Helm), Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Secret Manager • Ory Oathkeeper (API gateway), Centrifugo (real-time), n8n (worker orchestration), KEDA (autoscaling) • Docker, GitHub Actions, Artifact Registry • pytest (asyncio) + Testcontainers • structlog, Google Cloud Monitoring / Logging What we expect: • 5+ years of professional Python development, a solid share of it on an async stack (FastAPI / aiohttp / Starlette); deep understanding of asyncio. • Strong PostgreSQL: schema design, transactions and locking, indexes, slow query analysis. • Experience designing REST APIs and webhook integrations: idempotency, retries, consistent error handling. • Hands-on performance work: profiling, metrics, load testing, and fixing the bottlenecks you find. • Docker as a daily tool; Kubernetes at the "I deploy and debug my own service" level (each service ships its own Helm chart). • A habit of writing tests (unit + integration) and taking features to production end-to-end: from design to monitoring. Nice to have: • GCP experience (or AWS/Azure with willingness to switch to GCP), Terraform. • Mobile app billing: RevenueCat, Paddle, App Store / Google Play subscriptions. • Auth systems: JWT, refresh token rotation, API gateways. • Real-time messaging (WebSocket), workflow orchestration (n8n, Airflow, Temporal, Celery). • BigQuery and analytics pipelines. • Backend experience in mobile products. What’s next? If this role sounds like a fit — we’d love to hear from you! Just send over your CV and anything else you’d like us to consider. We’ll review everything within five working days, and if your background matches what we’re looking for, we’ll get in touch to set up a call and get to know each other better.
