We are developing innovative, reversible power plants that can convert gases such as biogas or hydrogen into electricity and heat with very high efficiency, and when needed, reverse the process to transform renewable energy into storable green gases. Your mission

• You design and develop object-oriented PLC applications using IEC 61131-3 (Structured Text) in TwinCAT 3
• You build and maintain our internal PLC function library, which is the backbone of our application engineering – with a strong focus on clean architecture, reusability, and clear interfaces
• You conduct peer reviews, write documentation, and set standards for code quality and maintainability
• You continuously improve our development workflows: versioning, automated testing (unit tests, CI/CD), and release processes – using tools such as Git and Python
• You support the deployment and troubleshooting of your libraries in field applications and test rigs
• You help shape the long-term software architecture: we plan a transition to a modern software stack (C++ or Rust) in 1–2 years, and you will play an active role in that

Your profile

• You have a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• You bring 3+ years of professional experience in software development
• You have strong, hands-on experience in object-oriented design and architecture and write clean, testable, maintainable code
• You are highly proficient in at least one object-oriented language (ideally C++, C#, or Rust) and are eager to apply these principles in the PLC world (IEC 61131-3 OOP, TwinCAT 3)
• You have strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills and enjoy getting to the root cause of issues
• You are fluent in English, conversational German is a plus
• Ideally, you have experience in one or more of the following areas :
• Python for tooling, test automation, or scripting
• PLC platforms such as TwinCAT 3, CODESYS, or TIA Portal
• Industrial communication protocols such as EtherCAT, Modbus, or CANopen
• CI/CD pipelines and test frameworks for PLC or embedded code
