Job description
About the Role at RobCo
RobCo is building the category of Autonomous Industrial Robotics and we're doing it fast. We believe that automating the ordinary frees humans to do the extraordinary, and we're building the end-to-end robotics infrastructure to make that possible - hardware, software, and AI in one stack that just works.
To achieve this, we are looking for an ambitious (Senior) Field Solutions Engineer (m/f/d) to help us establish RobCo as Europe’s leading provider of automation solutions.
Your Responsibilities
- On-Site Commissioning: You will install and commission our automation solutions directly at customer locations, seamlessly integrating them into existing processes, and you will be traveling throughout Germany to tackle technical challenges on-site.
- Project Management: You will plan technical work packages, document customer project progress, escalate milestone risks, and be the key interface to our Technical Program Managers.
- Customer Orientation: You will understand the specific requirements of our customers and translate these into built, tested, and commissioned robust automation solutions together with our Solution Development engineers.
- Customer Support: You will carry out the setup of automation systems on-site at customer locations, including training and final acceptance, and you will assist with commissioning and troubleshooting any issues that arise.
- Documentation: You will create system documentation, operating manuals, and test protocols.
- Design Understanding: You will be responsible for interpreting detailed 3D designs of complex automation solutions and turning these into reality.
- Technological Innovation: By providing continuous feedback to our hardware and software teams, you will contribute to the improvement of our robotic technology.
- Development and Testing: In our robotics laboratory in Munich, you will conduct tests and prototype new solutions and actively work on advancing our technologies.
We're looking for someone who has:
- You have a technical education/degree related to automation technology, such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, robotics, or an equivalent qualification.
- You enjoy regular travel for commissioning and customer support.
- You have some experience in the commissioning of automation solutions or comparably complex products.
- The success of our customers motivates and drives you.
- You solve problems pragmatically, adhering to existing standards or initiating new guidelines.
- You enjoy collaborating with other functions such as sales and supply chain.
- Your work style is structured, and you document knowledge clearly and understandably.
- You reflect on feedback constructively and implement it into improvements.
- You possess good German and English language skills.
Why join RobCo?
- Develop modular, software-defined robotics solutions with us that set new standards in automation.
- Help us build robots equipped with state-of-the-art AI that perceive their environment, analyze data, and make intelligent decisions in real time.
- As part of a very dynamic and fast-growing scale-up, you will take on responsibility from day one, drive your own projects, and see the direct impact of your work.
- Flat hierarchies, open communication, and regular 360° feedback enable fast decisions and support your professional and personal development.
- Work out across Germany in over 7,200 studios with our subsidized Wellpass membership.
- Flexible working hours, a modern office, and—depending on project phases and customer commitments—the option to work from home.
- Regular team events—from relaxed beer & pizza nights on the rooftop terrace to shared experiences on ski trips or at Oktoberfest.
