THE ROLE As a Programmatic Sales GSA, you will be responsible for the automated and data-driven sale of our digital advertising inventory (primarily video and CTV) and report directly to the Director Sales All Markets. You will manage programmatic bookings, oversee the planning, implementation and optimisation of our initiatives to boost revenue in programmatic sales, and will therefore also be directly responsible for the optimisation and smooth, technical implementation of campaigns. This makes you the primary point of contact for agency trading desks in the GSA region regarding preferred deals and PMP strategies. You’ll also help with SSP and header bidding integrations and act as the link between Sales, Tech and AdOps. THE ADS TEAM The Ads Team is a small but highly efficient team that combines technology and marketing to win customers over in the long term. With a presence in two countries (based in Berlin, Hamburg and Zurich) and operations in six countries, the Ads Team is a key driver of growth within Zattoo and has established itself as the market leader in CTV in Switzerland within a year. WHAT YOU’LL DO • Acquisition of new customers, advice, support and guide media agencies, trading desks and direct clients through our programmatic possibilities in a way they can understand. • Drawing up and negotiating bespoke programme packages, private deals or preferred deals. • Maximise inventory revenue, skilfully manage floor prices (minimum prices) and analyse delivery rates and CPMs. • Partner with regional sales teams in GSA to consult clients and pitch programmatic solutions. • Co-lead the technical and commercial setup of Header Bidding and additional SSP integrations for CTV. • First-line technical ownership of programmatic delivery. • Identify technical errors during delivery, analyse tracking issues and check campaign set-ups: troubleshoot deal delivery, floor pricing, and DSP configuration issues (e.g., SSAI, VAST responses, pod management, DSP/SSP bid stream mismatches). • Explain complex technical matters in simple terms to non-technical customers or internal departments. WHAT YOU’LL BRING • 4+ years of experience in Programmatic Advertising, SSP Management, or Programmatic Account Management (strong experience in CTV/Video) • A proven track record in the sales of digital advertising products • Deep understanding of Google Ad Manager, DSP/SSP workflows, OpenRTB specs, and deal types (Preferred Deals, PMP, PG) • Experience or strong technical familiarity with Header Bidding frameworks (e.g., Prebid) and SSP integrations • Strong network or understanding of the DACH Agency Trading Desk landscape • Fluent in German and English • Independent, strong communicator, able to work under pressure, with strong negotiation skills • Teamplayer and creative thinker with a questioning mindset. THE ROLE We are looking for a hands-on Video Systems Engineer to operate the technical backbone behind our content delivery — for linear TV channels and video-on-demand. You will manage systems and configurations to ensure seamless processes from ingestion to delivery. In this deeply operational role, you will work on all video content available on the Zattoo platform and collaborate with teams from different departments like Product, Content, and Data Center to ensure the best experience for our users and tenants. THE VIDEO OPERATIONS TEAM You'll join the team responsible for everything between the satellite dish and the viewer's screen — headend operations, satellite and IP ingest, encoding, and channel configuration across our entire live TV lineup. WHAT YOU’LL DO • Configure new and maintain existing linear TV channels on the Zattoo platform, including capabilities like catch-up, subtitles, HbbTV • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on channel acquisition to ensure a fast integration and smooth operations • Own and maintain our DVB-S headends in close collaboration with the data center team, configuring FTA and encrypted satellite ingests and planning needed capacities • Coordinate the integration of IP signal providers, plan topics like bandwidth, redundancy, and other technical parameters, or via SRT, ZiXi, and similar • Support the VOD ingestion process • Configure and manage the different server pools, which are used for encoding and transcoding • Procure, configure and maintain all the professional equipment and software • Maintain configuration and document relevant specifications to have easy access to a catalogue of channels existing on the platform • Diagnose and resolve faults across the signal chain • Support monitoring, alerting and incident response WHAT YOU’LL BRING • Hands-on experience configuring, managing and maintaining linear TV channels on a broadcast or streaming platform • Solid understanding of the DVB standards, satellite fundamentals, as well as standards such as MPEG-TS • Experience configuring and maintaining professional satellite receivers and IRDs (e.g. Teleste, AppearTV). • Practical knowledge of encoding and transcoding - encoding parameters, audio track handling and subtitle integration. • Familiarity with low-latency ingest protocols such as SRT and Zixi. • Comfortable with structured fault diagnosis, also under pressure • Good communication skills • Bonus: • Scripting skills in Python or Bash for automation • Knowledge of FAST channels and SCTE-35 markers • Familiarity with IP multicast and content protection, or a genuine interest and understanding of the TV and broadcast industry landscape WHY JOIN US? THE ROLE Video is the heart of all Zattoo’s services: thousands of 24/7 live TV channels plus on-demand content from dozens of providers. The Ads Backend team turns that content into a personalised, revenue-generating advertising experience. As an Engineering Manager, you enable your team to do their best work: approachable, a good listener, and a strong facilitator of ideas and knowledge. You bring your own ideas for improving the architecture and extending what our systems can do. This is a hands-on leadership role. We want a manager who is also a strong engineer, someone who acts as technical lead, dives into the code and architecture when it matters, and sets direction by example. Ads Backend is your home base, not the limit of your influence. We expect you to collaborate deeply with the Ingest & Storage, Streaming & CDN, and Playback teams, help define the technical direction of video across Zattoo, and join cross-team initiatives. THE ADS BACKEND TEAM The team owns Zattoo’s in-house Server-Side Ad Insertion (SSAI) solution: the whole ad pipeline, from deciding which ads to show to tracking every impression, built as a suite of services serving viewers at scale. These are business-critical services with a direct revenue impact, and we collaborate closely with our sister teams (Ingest & Storage, Streaming & CDN, Playback) and commercial and ad operations stakeholders. We’re about to take SSAI to the next level: a major re-architecture. It’s the team’s flagship challenge ahead, and one we want this hire to help lead from the front. WHAT YOU’LL DO • Lead the Ads Backend team, organizationally and technically • Own the technical vision and architecture of our SSAI platform, with the senior developers • Contribute hands-on as technical lead: review designs, raise the bar by example, and step into critical code when needed • Own the end-to-end development process and operational excellence for revenue-impacting services • Help shape the technical direction of Zattoo’s broader video platform, with the other video teams and our Principal Engineers • Drive cross-team initiatives spanning across multiple video teams. • Represent the team to stakeholders. • Directly manage 2 – 4 engineers and lead hiring • Grow, develop, and retain engineering talent WHAT YOU’LL BRING • 5+ years leading engineering teams • Strong, current hands-on engineering: you can design, build, and review production code and act as technical lead • Proficient in C++/Go • Experience building highly available services and APIs that scale • Experience with distributed systems, event-driven architectures and message queues (e.g. Kafka), and non-relational databases (e.g. Scylla) • Testing is a fundamental part of how you build software • Fluent English, written and verbal • Experience with advertising technology platforms, ad serving, and dynamic ad insertion (DAI/SSAI) • Broad experience across the video pipeline (ingest, transcoding, packaging, DRM, streaming, playback) WHY JOIN US?
