Your mission Location: remote within Germany JTL is one of the leading providers of e-commerce software in the German-speaking region – with around 450 employees across the group and more than 50,000 customers across a wide range of industries. We develop scalable, flexible solutions for the online retail of the future, from ERP systems to shop and marketplace integrations. You don't just want to use AI tools – you want to shape how an entire engineering organization works with them. We are looking for two AI Engineers who make AI agents a reliable part of our developers' everyday work. We are not building a central AI team that writes every workflow for everyone else. We want our teams to work with AI on their own: with the right context, reliable access to engineering knowledge, and workflows that fit their repositories and ways of working. Your team You join Engineering Excellence, the team behind developer tooling and AI enablement for JTL's development teams. Our internal agent platform runs AI workflows that review pull requests, fix bugs and implement tickets independently. We support each team, project and repository with what they need to work well with AI. What you will do • Enable developers to work with AI on their own – in workshops, pairing and coaching: how to provide good context, write clear prompts and create tickets an agent can reliably work on • Be the point of contact for the teams: collect where they get stuck, share what works across teams and keep everyone informed • Build AI workflows together with development teams – from the first idea to a workflow that runs on real tickets: bug fixes, code reviews, tests • Make repositories ready for agents: context files, skills, rules and the automated checks a workflow needs to validate its own work • Develop our internal agent platform and its integrations with Jira, GitHub, documentation, code search and MCP servers • Run workflows in production: monitoring, cost, quality of results and the data behind our scorecards • Evaluate new developments in coding agents, MCP and context engineering for their practical value to us Your profile • You have several years of software development experience and have built and maintained real-world products beyond prototypes • You communicate clearly, enjoy sharing knowledge, and enable other engineers through collaboration, explanation, and active listening • You have hands-on experience with coding agents such as Claude Code or GitHub Copilot in your daily development workflow • You understand the practical application of LLMs, including context engineering, tool calling, and agentic workflows • You can navigate unfamiliar codebases, quickly understand their structure, and identify the context an AI agent needs to work effectively within them • You have experience integrating APIs, tools, and data sources into software systems • You enjoy building custom tools, MCP servers, skills, and plugins to extend the capabilities of AI agents • You have experience with one or more of our technology stacks, including C#, PHP, Node.js, and React.js. Your practical experience matters more than the specific programming language • You are fluent in both German and English, written and spoken Why us? • Remote-first within Germany, with the option to work remotely from eligible countries for up to 180 days per year • Meal allowance of up to €115 net per month • Ergonomic workspace allowance for your home office setup • Regular team events, company-wide gatherings, and summer and Christmas parties to stay connected as a remote-first company • EGYM Wellpass and JobRad subsidy • Financial benefits including capital-forming payments (Vermögenswirksame Leistungen) and a company pension scheme

Information Security Manager (w/m/d)

Remote ✓DE
J

Your mission JTL-Software runs e-commerce software that our customers run their businesses on. Customers, partners and stakeholders trust in JTL to secure their information. This role runs JTLs information security management system end to end: the ISO/IEC 27001:2022 ISMS, the internal audit programme, the policy and standard framework, the cyber risk register, and security awareness across the company. The goal is to demonstrate, that JTL successfully has established processes to continuously improve its security capabilities. This is a hands-on role in the security team without management responsibility. ISMS ownership • Run and maintain the ISO/IEC 27001:2022 management system: scope, Statement of Applicability, control ownership, management review • Prepare for and defend certification, surveillance and recertification audits • Keep the evidence base current and collectible, and make it repeatable rather than a scramble before each audit Internal audit • Plan and run the internal audit programme against the control set • Write findings that are specific enough to act on, and drive them to closure with the control owners • Provide factual assurance to the management team Policy and standards • Own the policy and standard framework: authorship, review cycle, approval, publication, versioning Risk management • Run the cyber risk register: assessment, treatment plans, acceptance decisions, review cadence External assurance • Act as the single point of contact for customer security assessments, questionnaires and due diligence • Run the response cycle for our investor's portfolio-wide cyber assessment • Manage third-party and vendor security assessments, and the security half of the vendor onboarding process Awareness and training • Design and run the security awareness programme, including role-based training • Measure whether it changed anything, and change it when it did not Your profile • You have personally owned an ISO/IEC 27001 ISMS and defended it in front of an external auditor, through certification, recertification or surveillance. Only advising or having provided implementation guidance is not enough for this role. • You have planned and run internal audits, written the findings, and driven them to closure • You have written a policy and control framework and then operated an ISMS on it for at least a year • You have run a risk register where real treatment and acceptance decisions were made • technical literacy to look at control evidence from an engineer and tell whether it proves the control • Fluent English, written and spoken Why us? • Remote-first within Germany, with the option to work remotely from eligible countries for up to 180 days per year • Meal allowance of up to €115 net per month • Ergonomic workspace allowance for your home office setup • Regular team events, company-wide gatherings, and summer and Christmas parties to stay connected as a remote-first company • EGYM Wellpass and JobRad subsidy • Financial benefits including capital-forming payments (Vermögenswirksame Leistungen) and a company pension scheme

Staff Security Engineer - Detection & Response (w/m/d)

Remote ✓DE
J

Your mission JTL-Software builds the e-commerce software our customers run their businesses on. As the platform and the business grow, we are expanding our security team. This is a newly created Staff-level position with end-to-end ownership of that area. You will own our SIEM and the detection content that runs on it, lead security investigations from first alert to resolution, and set the hardening standard across endpoints, identity, servers and cloud. You will also own the engineering relationship with the external partners who support us. We are looking for someone who has built a detection capability. Our environment is predominantly Microsoft and Azure, and you will have genuine influence over the tooling, the architecture and the standards we adopt instead of maintaining decisions that were made before you arrived. This is a senior individual contributor role. You set the detection and hardening standard for the security team, you work without a technical lead above you, and you report directly to the Director Cybersecurity & IT. Build and own the SIEM • Take ownership of the platform from the implementation partner, to a depth that allows you to defend or revise its design decisions • Own data source onboarding, parsing, normalisation and coverage • Make and justify explicit decisions on log coverage, retention and ingest cost • Develop the platform as the estate grows, rather than leaving it as delivered Detection engineering • Write, tune and maintain the detection content, beyond the vendor's default rule set • Map coverage against the techniques relevant to our estate and close the gaps that matter • Treat detections as code: version control, review, testing, and a defined process for false positives • Convert offensive security findings into detections Incident response • Investigate and lead the technical side of security incidents end to end • Threat hunting against our own telemetry, proactively rather than in response to a report • Own the technical half of the incident response process and refine it after each event Hardening • Design and roll out security baselines across endpoints, servers, identity and cloud • Work with IT and engineering to get them applied, including where that requires making the case • Measure configuration drift and close it Partners and tooling • Own the engineering relationship with our external security partners: scope, escalation and expectations • Make build-versus-buy decisions on detection and response tooling, including the cost implications Your profile • You have built or substantially rebuilt a detection capability, rather than only operating one designed by someone else • You have written and tuned detection content in a production SIEM yourself, and are fluent in its query language • You have personally investigated real security incidents from start to finish • You have designed and rolled out a hardening baseline • You script to a level where automation is your default: PowerShell, Python or equivalent • You have set a technical standard that others followed, without formal authority over them • Fluent English, written and spoken Why us? • Remote-first within Germany, with the option to work remotely from eligible countries for up to 180 days per year • Meal allowance of up to €115 net per month • Ergonomic workspace allowance for your home office setup • Regular team events, company-wide gatherings, and summer and Christmas parties to stay connected as a remote-first company • EGYM Wellpass and JobRad subsidy • Financial benefits including capital-forming payments (Vermögenswirksame Leistungen) and a company pension scheme

Senior Fullstack Engineer

Your mission JTL is one of the leading providers of e-commerce software in the German-speaking market. With our Warehouse Management System (WMS), we support our customers in processing thousands of orders every day – from goods receipt and picking to shipping. Performance, stability, and reliability are therefore business-critical. Today, our WMS is closely integrated with our ERP system. Step by step, we are evolving the architecture by introducing clearly defined interfaces, modern APIs, and new cloud services. At the same time, we are modernizing a system that is already heavily used in production – without disrupting ongoing operations. This is a technical challenge with a direct impact on our customers. To support this journey, we are looking for a new team member to join our team of six developers and two QA Engineers. As a Fullstack Software Engineer, you will work across different technologies and application layers: from modern web applications built with React and TypeScript, to our desktop applications built with WPF, and backend services and APIs based on C# and .NET. We work in two-week sprints, make technical decisions collaboratively, and actively use modern AI tools such as Claude Code and GitHub Copilot in our daily development work. Your responsibilities • You develop and evolve our WMS as a Fullstack Software Engineer across frontend, desktop, and backend applications • You help shape the step-by-step modernization of the WMS monolith and contribute to sustainable technology and architecture decisions • You develop modern web applications and user interfaces using React and TypeScript • You develop and modernize desktop applications based on WPF • You develop backend components, services, and APIs using C# and .NET • You contribute to the gradual decoupling of the WMS from the ERP system and develop the interfaces through which both systems will communicate in the future Your profile • Several years of experience as a Software Engineer with a strong Fullstack development background • Very good knowledge of C# and the .NET ecosystem (.NET 10+) • Strong experience developing modern web applications with React and TypeScript • Solid experience in desktop application development with WPF • Experience developing and integrating APIs, particularly REST and GraphQL • Experience working with relational databases, particularly Microsoft SQL Server • Experience modernizing mature software landscapes, for example through modularization, API-based integration, and incremental migration • A strong focus on quality, automated testing, maintainability, and operating your own services (“You build it, you run it”) • Experience with AI-assisted software development, or a willingness to actively use modern AI tools in your daily development work • You are fluent in English and have a very good command of German, both written and spoken Why us? • Remote-first within Germany, with the option to work remotely from eligible countries for up to 180 days per year • Meal allowance of up to €115 net per month • Support for setting up an ergonomic home office • Regular team events, company-wide gatherings, and summer and Christmas celebrations • EGYM Wellpass and JobRad subsidy • Employee savings benefits and company pension scheme

Group Product Manager - ERP (f/m/d)

Remote ✓DE
J

Your mission JTL is one of the leading e-commerce platforms in the DACH market. Thousands of merchants run their business on our ERP, shop and fulfillment products every day, and ERP is the heart of it all: our largest product area and the anchor of the whole portfolio. We are now taking it through its biggest shift yet: from our proven on-premise ERP to a true cloud product. As Group Product Manager ERP, you own this area end to end: the strategy, the roadmap, and the team of product managers behind both the established product and the cloud transformation. What you'll do • You own product strategy and roadmap for JTL's ERP area, covering the established JTL-Wawi and the new ERP Cloud, and align both with the company's strategy. • You drive the ERP Cloud transformation from the product side: from MVP to a scalable cloud product, including a credible migration path for the existing merchant base, while the established product keeps delivering for the customers who run on it today. • You build, lead and develop the ERP product team, currently five product managers: clear goals, direct feedback, hiring, and individual development. • You own prioritization and outcomes across the ERP teams: you allocate capacity between transformation and established product, arbitrate priority conflicts among your PMs, and hold the team accountable to outcomes, not output, with goals and KPI trees that make adoption, retention and revenue impact visible. • You ensure your PMs run rigorous discovery and coach them on method and quality; decisions in your area are evidence-based. • You are a credible counterpart to Engineering leadership: you align priorities, product decisions and delivery expectations at eye level, and keep a roadmap that is credible to senior stakeholders and resilient to challenge. • You partner with Marketing, Sales, GTM and Support as the voice of the ERP area: you create transparency on roadmap and trade-offs, ensure launches are commercially prepared, and keep stakeholders up to C-level informed. • You drive AI enablement in your area: you role-model AI usage, embed it into your team's PM workflows (research, analysis, documentation), and make sure AI opportunities in the ERP products are identified and executed. Your profile • 3-5 years of experience in product management in B2B SaaS or complex product environments, including several years leading product managers with direct people responsibility: hiring, feedback and development. • You have taken an established product through a major platform shift, ideally desktop or on-premise to cloud/SaaS, from the product side, and you know the dual-track reality of running today's business while building tomorrow's. • A track record of prioritizing under pressure: you have made capacity trade-offs transparent and defensible, up to C-level. • Outcome orientation and data literacy: you have run teams on KPI trees, adoption and retention goals, and course-corrected on evidence. • Domain depth in ERP, commerce operations or adjacent workflow-heavy B2B software (orders, invoicing, stock, fulfillment) is a strong plus; genuine curiosity for merchant workflows is a must. • Hands-on experience using AI in your own work and driving its adoption in a team's workflows and products. • German is a strong plus: English is our internal working language, but redesigning deeply German merchant workflows requires German. What you'll find You lead the largest product area of a profitable, growing company and own its most important transformation end to end, with a direct line to the VP Product and a real mandate over roadmap and team. Remote-first, with occasional on-site days, mainly in our office in Hürth (NRW), for workshops, planning and team days. Why us? • Remote-first within Germany, with the option to work remotely from eligible countries for up to 180 days per year • Meal allowance of up to €115 net per month • Ergonomic workspace allowance for your home office setup • Regular team events, company-wide gatherings, and summer and Christmas parties to stay connected as a remote-first company • EGYM Wellpass and JobRad subsidy • Financial benefits including capital-forming payments (Vermögenswirksame Leistungen) and a company pension scheme

We are now taking it through its biggest shift yet: from our proven on-premise ERP to a true cloud product. As Staff Product Manager, you work at the heart of this shift as a senior individual contributor: you drive the most complex product problems of the ERP area together with the teams around you, and you raise the craft bar for the whole PM team. What you'll do • You own product strategy and roadmap for a significant slice of the ERP area, centered on the ERP Cloud transformation and its interfaces to the established JTL-Wawi, and you align cross-team dependencies with the overall strategy. • You drive the most complex, most interconnected product problems in the area, the ones that span multiple teams, touch the platform, and decide whether the transformation succeeds, and you solve them together with engineering, design and the PMs involved. • You drive prioritization across team interfaces and keep a roadmap that is credible to senior stakeholders and resilient to challenge. • You set the discovery quality bar in the team: decisions in your area are evidence-based, and you proactively surface unmet customer needs across adjacent teams. • You own competitive positioning for your area: you identify whitespace and differentiation opportunities and bring market reality into prioritization. • You make impact measurable in adoption, retention and revenue, and you establish experimentation and evaluation practices where viable. • You own commercial outcomes for your area and drive launch and go-to-market readiness together with Marketing, Sales, GTM and Support. • You are a credible counterpart to your engineering team: you bring clearly framed problems and intended value, respect the team's ownership of solution and delivery, and partner on team-level architecture decisions, anticipating technical risk early.
